BE IT by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. For the purpose of for t Mt part of the cost of i_mnrovements of certain portions of certain streets as hereinaft-r set forth in. the following sections of this ordinance which is chargeable to the private property in the assessment districts for each of such improvements, respectively, as set forth in foie following sections of this ordina:,,ce irit,h re3pect to each of such i.mprove_ients there are hereby levied and assessed on the property liable therefor, being all the lots and pieces of ground l;ring, on either side of said streets so improved, respectively, to the middle of the block. for the distance improved, with respect to the improvements mentioned in Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 of this ordinance, according to the appraised value of such lots and pieces of with respect to each such i. rove to ground lent, without regard the buildings or ianprovements thereon, special assessments covering the cost of such work and improvements, said special assessments beim; based on the special valuation and appraisement of said lots and pieces of ground :.oretofore made by three disinterested appraisers apj_,ointed by the L'oard of Gommiss4_oners of the City of Salir_a, Kansas, with respect to each such improvement, which said appraisernents are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, and the several amounts so levied, apportioned and assessed against the ='_ots and pieces of ground for each such improvements, respectively, for the purpose aforesaid, are hereby found and determined to be the a,iounts set forth in the following sections of this ordinance with respect to each of said improve ents.
