Taylor Construction Company for the construction of certain Lateral Sanitary Sewers in the City of Salina here- tofore designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts 269, 270 and 271, and provid- ing for the issuance of temporary no es to pay the cost thereof, pending issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT OiiDAINi;L by the Hoard of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas. Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the proposal of H. J. Taylor Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the 1lcontractor" as submitted I to the Board of Commissioners March 31, 1952, which is hereby found to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of I said city to said contractor and signed on behalf of the city by its Mayor on April 4, 1952, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, to -wit: An eight inch (81t) clay pipe sanitary sewer in ten foot easement (101) running north and south through Block Four (4) in Kraft Manor Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas, beginning at an existing manhole in Cloud Street, thence south seven hundred and fifty feet (7501) to a manhole to be constructed in Charlotte Street, being the terminus of Lateral 269. An eight inch (8f1) clay pipe sewer in ten foot (101) easement running north and south t:Lrough Block Five (5) in Kraft Manor Jddition to the City of Salina, Kansas, beginning at an existing manhole in Cloud Street, thence south seven hundred and fifty feet (7501) to a manhole to be con- structed in Charlotte Street, being the terminus of Lateral 270. An eight inch (811) clay pipe sanitary sewer in ten foot (101) easement running north and south on east property line of Block Six (6) in Kraft Manor Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas, beginning at an existing manhole in Cloud Street, thence south in (101) ten foot easement seven hundred and seventy feet (7701) more or less, to a manhole to be con- structed on the south property line of Lot Ten (10) in Block Six (6) Kraft Manor Addition, being the terminus of Lateral 271, at and for the unit price for said work contained in saidproposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimate of the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and construdted in accordance with the plans and specificati ns therefore prepared by the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as reouired by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the contract price for such work, such notes to bear interest at not to exceed 42 per cent per annum and to mature not later than Lecember 1, 1953, and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as may the money for the payment of the cost of such work be required, such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that Internal Improvement Bonds are issued in lieu thereof. i I Section 4.
