ORDINANCE N0. 5630
AN ORDINANCE regulating and prescribing certain limitations as to the hauling of trash
and garbage and providing penalties for the violation thereof.
BE I`h OR.DADIIED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina:
Section 1. 20-101 A. LD-11TA`tIONS AS TO HAULDNG OF TRASH AND GAIAGE. It shall be
unlawful for any person to place, or transport, in any vehicle, any dirt, filth, sewerage,
rakings, waste paper, cans, manure, leaves, ashes, grass, weeds, iregetables, slop, trash,
garbage or similar material, unless said vehicle is so covered by tarpaulins or similar
retainers, or so constructed as to prevent the escape, dropping, dripping or blowing of
j any such material therefrom.
Section 2. PENALTY. Any person violating any of the terms of the foregoing section
shall be deemed guilty of a public offense and upon conviction shall be fined in a sum
not exceeding Fifty ($50.00) Dollars and confined to the city jail until said stun is paid.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
