That Section 21L-1422, Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina, 1946, be and it is hereby amended to read, as follows: 1114-1.22 Impounding of Vehicles Becoming a Nuisance. (a) That in order to provide for the safet.T.r of pro},,erty any vehicle being operated by any person upon any street or alley in the City of ;Salina, the operat U o7 which is then arrested for the alleged coi;L fission of a public offense and w,i ch operator fails to make bond within one hour after being committed to jail and fi,rther fails to place any such vehicle in the cafe and charge of some person design,ted by such ope_-ator, then such vehicle is hereby declared to be a public nuisance. It shall be the duty of the Chief of Police to cause any such vehicle to be removed and impounded in a public vehicular storage garage. Thereafter such vehicle shall be surrendered to the duly identified owner thereof only upon the pay- ment of a pound fee of Two and 50/100 (;32.50) DollErs, together -*ith any additional storage and tow -in fee, i� ich is necessarily incurred by the Chief of Police or anyone acting pursuant to his orders or directives. (b) Any unoccupied ve:-icle left barked continuously upon any street of thb City of Salina for twenty-four (2�,) hours or more, is hereby declared to be a nuisance. It shall be the duty of the C-ief of Police to cause st_ch vei-icles to be removed and impounded in a public vehicular storage garage. Thereafter such vehicles snail be surrendered to the identified owners thereof only upon the payment of the pound fee of Two and 50-100 Dollars (ti2.50), together with any additional storage charge or towing -in fee, which is necessarily incurred by the Chief of Police, or any other department of The Cit17 of Sali:_a for the towing in and storage of such behicle. (c) Any, vehicle against which there has been issued three or :gore traffic summons, either for exceeding the parking limit or for being parked at a place .71ere parking is prohibited, either by this ordinance or any other ordinances of the City of Salina, where the owner of stch vehicles has :wiled to appear in Police Court for the disposition of such cases, is hereby declared to be a nuisa-r ce.
