5608 AnnexationORDINANCE NO. 5608 City of Salina, so that the boundary line of said city will be straight and harmonious. Section 3. That a certain tract of land adjoining the corporate limits of the City of Salina, in Section 23, Township 14, south, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the east right-of-way line of US 81 by-pass and the center line of Crawford Avenue, in the northwest quarter of Section 23, Township 14 south, Range 3 west of Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, thence west in center line of Crawford Avenue, 285 feet, thence south and parallel with east line of US 81 by-pass 2640 feet, more or less, to the center line of Republic Avenue, thence east on the center line of Republic Avenue, 285 feet to its intersection with the east line of US 81 by pass, thence north along the east right -of - tray line of US 81 by-pass 2640 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, be and it is (Published in the Salina Journal _ _ 1952) All ORDINANCE providing for the inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits of the City of Salina, prescribing the corporate limits of said city and repealing Section 3 of Ordinance No. 5606. IdIMREAS, all conditions precedent to the inclusions of certain land in the City of Salina have come to pass, and now BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That certain tract of land adjoining the corporate limits of the City of Salina, in Section 23, Township 14 south, Range Three west of the Sixth Principal Meridian, in Saline County, Kansas, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the center line of Crawford Avenue in Salina, Kansas, 150 feet west of the northeast corner of the north- west quarter of Section 23, Township lit. south, Range 3 west, thence south along the west line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad right-of-way 2640 feet, more or less, to the center line of Republic Avenue extended west, thence west along the center line of Republic Avenue to its intersection with the east right-of-way line of US 81 by-pass, thence north along the east line of US 81 by-pass 2640 feet, more or less, to its intersection with the center line of Crawford Avenue, thence east along the center line of Crawford Avenue, to the point of beginning, be and it is hereby included within the corporate limits of said city. That the owners of said tract did petition the governing body of said city to incorporate the same within the limits of said city. Section 2. That a certain tract of land adjoining the corporate limits of the City of Salina, in Section 23, Township 14 south, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian, in Saline County, Kansas, described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the east right-of-way line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad, and the center line of Crawford Avenue in thenortheast quarter of Section 23, Township 14 south, Range 3 west, thence west 216 feet, more or less, to a point 150 feet west of the northeast corner of the northwest quarter of Section 23, Township 14 south, Range 3 west, thence south and parallel with said east right -of -gray line 2640 feet, more or less, to a point in the center line of Republic Avenue, thence east 216 feet, more or less, to the point of intersection of the east right-of-way line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad and the center line of Republic Avenue, thence north along the east right-of-way line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad 2640 feet, more or less, to point of beginning, be and it is hereby included within the limits of the City of Salina, so that the boundary line of said city will be straight and harmonious. thence west along the south line of Highland Court Addition to the southwest corner of said addition; thence north along the west line of said addition to its intersection with the easterly line of the right-of-way of the Missouri Pacific Railroad Coipany; thence north along the east line of said railroad right-of-way to its intersection with the center line of Republic Avenue, thence west along the center line of Republic Avenue to a point 165 feet west of the point of intersection of said center line with the west right-of-way line of US 81 by-pass; thence north parallel to the west right-of-way line of US 81 by-pass to a point on the center line of Walnut Street 165 feet west of the west right-of-way line of US 81 by-pass; thence west along the center line of Walnut Street to the center line of Dry Creek, thence in a northerly direction down the center of Dry Creek to the intersection of the center line of said creek with the center line of the channel of the Dry Creek cut-off channel as now established, being the first point of intersection of said lines lying north of Walnut Street; thence north along the center line of the channel of said Dry Creek cut-off channel as now established to its next intersection with the center line of Dry Creek as originally existing; thence down the center line of the channel of Dry Creek as originally existing to the poitt of intersection of said line with the center line of the channel of Dry Creek cut-off channel as now established, being the first point or intersection of said lines lying north of the main line right-of-way of the Union Pacific Railroad and lying adjacent to Block 10 in Chicago Addition;
