AN DEDINANCE providing for the issuance of no fund warrants in an amount not to
exceed $27,204.00 to pay for unforeseen expenses in the general operating fund
of the City of Salina, Kansas, as authorized by order No. 492, dated December
12, 1952, of the State Commission of Revenue and Taxation and providing for the
payment thereof.

WHEREAS, by Order No. 492, dated December 12, 1952, of the State Commission of
j Revenue and Taxation, the City of Salina, Kansas, is authorized to issue no fund
warrants in the General Operating Fund under terms of G. S., 1949, 79-2939, in an
amount not to exceed $27,204.00.

SO, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the City of Salina, Kansas, shall issue no fund warrants in
the General Operating Fund in multiples of one hundred ($100.00) not to exceed the
sum of $27,204.00, said warrants to bear interest of not more than V. interest,

made payable at the Office of the County Treasurer, and shall bear the notation
"Issued pursuant to authority granted by Order No3 492, dated December 12, 1952, of
the State Commission of Revenue and Taxation.".
Section 2. That said warrants issued as provided by Section 1 hereof, shall be
sold at par and the money derived therefrom be placed in the general operating fund

of said city and paid out of said fund as regular warrants during the current budget
year in excess of the adopted budget to pay unforeseen expenses.
Section 3. That a tax levy shall be made at the first tax levying period here-
after sufficient to pay such warrants provided that if there is money in the general
operating fund over and above the amount needed for the adopted budget, such money
shall be used and the tax levy shall be only for the difference if any between the
money available and the amount of warrants issued.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after
its publication in the official city paper.
