Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the preambles hereof are hereby incorporated herein. That a pumping station for the purpose of pumping the sewage of Lateral Sewer 293 and the extensions thereof to the sewer now existing in the CountryClut Road, be constructed I in the manner provided by law. Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Salina shall on or before •re the 15th day of Dedember _.._.._1952, prepare and file in the office of the City Clerk, plans and specifications for the construction of the pumping station provided for i in Section 1 of this ordisaace which shall be of the proper character and at the proper i i location to pump the sewage of said Lateral Sewer 293 into the sewer at present existing in the xakk"XMTt* Country Club Road, so as to conduct the sewa;e from Lateral Sewer I 293 and extensions thereof to a point of outlet as a part of the sewage disposal system of the City of Salina, Kansas, and shall on or before said date prepare and submit to the Board of Commissioners under oath detailed estimates of the cost thereof and that thereafter the City Clerk shall advertise for three consecutive days in the i Official city paper for sealed proposals for the building and construction oS such i pumping station according to such plans and specifications, which proposals shall be filed with the City Clerk on or before -the time fixed in such notice, at which time � the Board of. Commissioners may let a contract for the building and construction of such puw.ping station to the lowest and best responsible bidder therefor; provided that such bids shall not exceed the estimated cost thereof androvided P further that said Board shall reserve the right to reject any and all such proposals and that if no responsible bids shall be received within said estimated cost said Board may proceed and build such i Pumping station within such extimated cost. i Section 3. That for the payment of the cost of such work the building and con- struction of said pumping station, the Board of Commissioners of the Cit of Salina, i y lana, I Kansas, shall issue improvement bonds of said city, in an amount not to exceed the i total cost of such work and improvements, to be payable in four our approximaa ely equal annual' installments and to bear interest at not to exceed 5-” per annum from the date of such i 1 1 1 bonds, and for the purpose of paying such bonds and interest as they severall mature, the Board of Commissioners shall annually levy a tax upon all real and personal property in the City of Salina in an amount sufficient to pay the annual installments of such principal and interest and I , pending issue and sale of such bonds temporarynotes shall be issued according to law, to pay the dost of such work. I i Section 4. That before the pumping station herein provi-ded for shall be con- istriieted, the plans and specifications therefor shall first be; submitted to the depart- ment p ment of the Board of Health of the State of Kansas and be approved by such department.
