AN ORDINANCE providing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the
Zoning District Map therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of
certain property within the cityand n

WHEREAS, all conditions precedent for the amendment of the Zoning DistrictMap and
the rezoning of certain lands hereinafter described has been timely complied with;
and SO NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:

Section 1. That Sub -division 3 of Section 17 of Ordinance Number 5549 be and it

is hereby amended to read as follows

3. Parapet walls and false mansards, except on dwellings in Districts
"A" and "Bn may extend not more than six (6) feet above the
height
limit. Flagpoles, chimneys, cooling towers, electric displaysigns$
elevator bulkheads, pent houses, finials, gas tanks
grain elevators,
stacks, gild, storage towers, radio or television towers, ornamental
towers, monuments, cupolas, domes, spires, standpipes, and necessary
mechanical appurtenances, where permitted, may be erected as to height
in accordance with existing or hereafter adopted ordinances f the
City of Salina, Kansas,as gut
Section 2. AMENDMENT, DISTRICT "D", LOCAL BUSINESS DISTRICT. That the zoning
District Map of the City of Salina, heretofore duly adopted and. published as a part of
Ordinance Number 5549, be and it is hereby amended so that the following property
described as follows, to -wit:

That Lot One (1) Block Forty -Six (46) Military Addition to the
City of Salina, Kansas, be rezoned to "D" Local Business,
shall become a " n
part of District D , Local Business. That the use of said described
property shall be subject to all the conditions, restrictions and limitations as made

and provided for in said Ordinance Number 5549 with reference to the Local Business
District, as f aforesaid,
Section 3e REPEAL. That the original of Sub -division 3 of Section 17 of said
ordinance Number 5549 be and it is hereby repealed.

Section 4, EFFECTIVE DATE. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect

from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
