AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract with H. J. Taylor Construction
Company for the construction of certain Lateral Sanitary Sewer in the City of
Salina, Kansas, heretofore designated as lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number
286, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof,
pending issuance and sale of bonds.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the acceptance of the City of Salina, Kansas, of the proposal
of H. J. Taylor Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "oontractor"
as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on September 15, 19520 which is hereby
found to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the

Board of Commissioners of said city to said contractor and signed on behalf of the
City by its Mayor on September 22, 1952, for the construction of certain public
improvements in the City of Salina,, Kansas, to -wits
An 8 inch clay pipe sew r beginning at a manhole to be
constructed at a point 25 feet east of Ninth Street and
20 feet south of the north line of Euclid; thence east
1410 feet to the center line of the alley first east of
Fifth Street, at which place a pumping station will be
installed which will be the terminus of Lateral 285*
at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal
and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the
some is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated
cost of said improvements as shosm by the wwrn estimate of the City Engineer on
file in the office of the City Clerk, which estimate is hereby referred to and
made a part of this ordinance.
Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and oonstructed in accordance
with the plans and specifications therefore prepared by the City Engineer on file
in the office of the City Clerk and in a000rdance with the proposal of said con-
tractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to,
and made a part of this ordinance.
Section S. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attesteS by the City
Clerk be issued from time to time as the eork progresses in the manner and form
as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the contract price for
such work, such notes to bear interest at not to exceed Qj per cent per annum and

to mature not later than December 1, 1955, and to be issued in such a#cunts and

at such times as may the money for the payment of the cost of such work be required,
such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the
time that Internal Improvement Bonds are issued in lieu thereof.
Section 4. That this ordiance shall take effect and be in Hill force from
