ORDINANCE NUMBER _ 5790

AN ORDINANCE providing for the amendment of Subdivision "C" of Section 1 of
Ordinance Number 5660, and providing for the repeal of the original subdivision.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Subdivision iiC" of Section 1 of Ordinance Number 5660 be
and it is hereby amended to read and adjust taxicab rates as follows:
(c) That the following trips and situations are excluded. from the zones,
aforesaid, and maximum rates shall be as follo�*s:
(1) Trips to and from Anion Station zones rates shall apply except that
each additional passenger on and off the sam place shall be35¢.
(2) For trips to or from SHAFB, $1.25 for the first two passengers and
$0.25 for each additional passenger on and off at the same place
(3) For trips to or from the M nicipal Airport, for the first passenger
31.00, and 50¢ for each add3lional passenger on and off at the sari
place.
(4) For special cab (no passenger other than those accompanying
hirer ying the
75¢ within city limits.
(5) Extra charge for luggage or parcels when accompanied by passenger;
extra charge for luggage over two pieces of ordinary hand luggage,
for each two extra pieces of hand lug

as
foradditional passenger. For each extra lrg parcel (not carried in
arms of passenger) same charge as for additional passenger.
No more than six passengers can be carried in any cab in one trip
j at any one time. Not more than two passengers shall ride in the
front seat. First passenger in cab is entitled to first delivery
unless he consdnts to delivery of other passengers first, and no
luggage or parcels shall be carried in the front seat with the
driver which will obstruct the driver's vision. If two or more
persons in a taxicab with different destination points, the pass-
enger shall be delivered to their destination in the order of
j their entry into the cab unless the passenger entitled to prior
delivery consents to prior delivery of other passenger.
Every taxi -cab shall have posted in a conspicuous place within
the cab a card shoring the rates provided herein andlicense
number and name of the owner and driver printed or in type
sufficiently large to be readable by passenger.
Any charge made to passenger or rate other than those faxed in
this ordinance or any failure to comply with any provisions
hereof shallbe deemed a violation of this article and shall sub-
ject the driver and owner of the cab to cancellation of their
licenses at the discretion of the Board of Commissioners."

Section 2. That Subdivision "C" of Section 1 of Ordinance Number 5660 be
and it is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its Publication once in the official city paper.
