AN CRDINANCE levying special assessments against certain property to pay the cost of
constructing edrtain water service pipes and sewer connections in certain streets
in the City of Salina, Kansas.
WILILEAS, the Board of Commissioners have heretofore ordered the owners of the property
hereinafter described to lay water service pipes from the water rosins in the streets
abutting thereon at the back of the curb line in said streets, and sewer connections,
prior to the paving thereof, and
Midb AS, notice was duly given by publication in the official city paper of said
order and the Owners of the property hereinafter described did not within thirty
days after the last publication of said notice lay said water service pipe and sewer
connections and the city laid or caused the same to be laid, pursuant to Section
12-832 and 12-833 of the Revised Statutes of Kansas, 1935, and the cost thereof has
been ascertained, and remains unpaid by the property owners liable therefor, SU NOW,

BE IT MAIMED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed against each
of such lots and parts of lots hereinafter described, a special tax or assessment
for the purpose of paying that partof the cost of constructing and laying said
water pipes and sewer connections, taxable against such lots and parts of lots, in
the various amounts set opposite the following described lots and parts of lots,
to -wit:
East 55 feet of Lot 14 and West 2u feet
of Lot 13, Block 32 Sunrise Addition - - 4o,()o
East 30 feet of Lot 12 and all of Lot
11, Block 3, Sunrise Addition - - - - - .. 4000
Lot 68 on Jewell Avenue, Addition to the
Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University- - - 40.00

Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed and authorized to 3nnediately
wertify the assessments made in Section 1 of this ordinance to the County Clerk'of
Saline County, Kansas, to be placed upon the tax roll for collection, subject to
the same penalties and collected in the same manner as other taxes.
Section 3. This ordinance shalltake effect and be in fall force from and after
its publication once in the official city paper.
