AN CRDINANCE levying special assessments against certain property to pay the cost
of constructing certain sidewalks in the parking abutting Lots 2 to 19, inclusive,
Block 3; Lots 1 to 8, inclusive and Lots 10 to 12, inclusive, Block 4• Lots 16
to 18, inclusive, and Lots 20 to 22, inclusive, Block 5; Lots 10 to 71, inclusive,
Block 1; all in Sunrise Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas, and in the parking
of Lot 1 and Lot 15, Block 5, abutting Sunrise Drive and in the parking of Lots 9
and 15, Block 1, abutting Beloit Avenue, all in said Sunrise Addition.
WHEREAS, the Board of Comi.ssioners have, by Resolution Number 1333, caused to be
notified, the owners of the property hereinafter described to cause their respective
portion of said sidewalks to be constructed at theirown expense and have fulfilled
all conditions precedent to the construction of said sidewalks.
WIUZFA,S, the owners of the property hereinafter described did not within 30 days
as required by Resolution Number 1333, cause said sidewalks to be constructed, and
the City caused said sidewalks to be constructed pursuant to Chapter 12, Article
18, General Statutes of Kansas, 1949, and the cost thereof has been ascertained,

Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed against the
lots hereinafter described an assessment for the purpose of paying the cost of
constructing said sidewalks, taxable against the following described lots in the
amount set opposite said lots.

Section 2. That the owner or owners of the property above described shall have
thirty (30) days after the publication of this ordinance within which to make full
payment.
Section 3. That the City Clerk is direct to mail a notice not less than fifteen
days prior to the end of the thirty (30) days to the owner of the property as shown
on the records of the Office of the Register of Deeds.
Section 4. That if full payment of the assessment made in Section 1 of this
ordinance is not made within thirty days after the publication of this ordinance,
the City Clerk is hereby directed and authorized to certify said assessment to the
County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, to be placed an the tax roll for collection,
subject to the same penalties and collected in like manner as other taxes.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and
after its publication once in the official city paper.
