BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section I. That for the purpose of paying for that part of fIfe cost of improving certain portions of certain streets as hereinafter set forth in the following sections of this ordinance which is chargeable to the private property in the assessment district for each of such irnprc,ve— menfs, respectively, as set forth in the following sections of this ordinance with respect to each of such improvements., there are hereby levied and assessed on the property liable therefor, being all of the lots and pieces of ground lying on either side of said streets so improved,, respectively, to the middle of the block for the distance improved, with respect to the improvements mentioned in Sections 2, 3,4 Y 1 6 7 8 ic, 11, 12, 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 avo-doM of this ordinance according to the appraised value of such lots and pieces of ground with respect to each such improvement, without regard to the buildings or improvements thereon, special assessments covering the cost of such work and lmprovz— ments, and special assessments being based on the special valuation and appraisement of said lots and pieces of ground heretofore rnade by three disinterested appraisers appointed by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, with respect to each such improvements, which I said appraisements are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, i and the severals amounts levied, apportioned and assessed against theq i lots and pieces of ground for each of such improvements, respectively, for the purpose aforesaid ase hereby found and determined to be the amounts set forth in the following sections of this ordinance with respect to each of such improvements.
