AN ORDINANCE levying special assessments against certain property in
the benefit district to pay the damages and costs of condemnation and
acquiring certain real property in the City of Salina, Kansas.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance Number 5690, the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Salina, Kansas, did condemn and appropriate certain lands
described as follows:
Tract #I. The west twenty-two and 661100 (22.66) feet
of Block I, Hageman Park Addition to the City of Salina
Saline County, Kansas. ,
Tract #2• The west twenty-two and 66/100 (22.66) feet
of Block Two (2), Hageman Park Addition to the City of
Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
WHEREAS, by said ordinance Number 5690 a certain benefit district here-
inafter described was designated; and
WHEREAS, on the 13th day of October, 1952, the Report of Commissioners
appointed by A. R. Buzick, Judge of the District Court of Saline County,
Kansas, was filed in the Office of the City Clerk of
Sali,appraising the value of the land as taken and the damagesnandKasssas
essing
the cost of such property against the specific property embraced In the
benefit district.
SO NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS.
Section I. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed
against each of such lots and parts of lots hereinafter described, a
special fax or assessment for the purpose of paying for the cost of such
condemnation, said lots and parts of lots hereinafter described being
embraced in the said benefit district, in the various amounts set opposite
the following described lots and parts of lots to -wit:

Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed and authorized
to immediately certify the assessments made in Section I of this ordi-
nance to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, to be placed upon
the tax rolls for collection subject to the same penalties and collected
In like manner as other taxes
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
from and after Its publication once in the official city paper.
