ORDINANCE NUMBER 92-9521
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
LAND IN THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION THIRTY-SIX (36)
TOWNSHIP FOURTEEN (14) SOUTH RANGE THREE (3) WEST OF THE SIXTH
PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS, IN CONFORMITY WITH
THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described land, to -wit:
A tract of land located in the Southwest Quarter (SW/4) of
Section Thirty-six (36) , Township Fourteen (14) south,
Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in
Saline County, Kansas and described as follows:
Commencing at the southwest corner of said Southwest
Quarter (SW/4) of Section Thirty-six (36);
Thence South eighty-nine degrees thirty-five minutes
fifty-six seconds East (S.89 -35'56"E.) on the south line of
said Southwest Quarter a distance of four hundred
forty-two and fifty-nine hundredths (442.59) feet to the
point of beginning of tract to be described;
Thence North zero degrees twenty-four minutes fifty-four
seconds East (N.00°2454"E.) a distance of thirty (30.00)
feet to a point on the north right-of-way line of Schilling
Road;
Thence North eighty-nine degrees thirty-five minutes
fifty-six seconds West (N.89035'56"W.) on said north
right-of-way line a distance of eighty (80.00) feet;
Thence North zero degrees twenty-four minutes fifty-four
seconds East (N.00°24'54"E.) on said north right-of-way
line a distance of thirty (30.00) feet;
Thence North eighty-nine degrees thirty-five minutes
fifty-six seconds West (N.89°35'56"W.) on said north
right-of-way line a distance of two hundred fifteen
(215.00) feet to a point on the easterly right-of-way of US
Highway 81;
Thence North zero degrees fourteen minutes twenty seconds
East (N.00 -14120"E.) on said easterly right-of-way line a
distance of two hundred thirty-four and sixty -hundredths
(234.60) feet;
Thence North five degrees thirty minutes six seconds West
(N.05 -30'06"W.) on said easterly right-of-way line a
distance of four hundred one and forty hundredths
(401.40) feet;
Thence North zero degrees thirteen minutes fifty seconds
East (N.00°13'50"E.) on said easterly right-of-way line a
distance of six hundred thirty-seven and thirty-eight
hundredths (637.38) feet to a point on the north line of
the South Half (S/2) of said Southwest Quarter;
Thence North eighty-nine degrees fifty-nine minutes
fourteen seconds East (N.89°59'14"E.) on said north line a
distance of five hundred eight and forty-seven hundredths
(508.47) feet;
Thence, continuing on said north line, South eighty-nine
degrees thirty-six minutes fifty-five seconds East
(S.89 -36'55"E.) a distance of nine hundred seventy-two and
fifty-three hundredths (972.53) feet;
Thence South zero degrees twenty-three minutes five
seconds West (S.00°23'05"W.) a distance of one thousand
three hundred thirty-five and twenty hundredths (1335.20)
feet to a point on said south line of the Southwest
Quarter;
Thence North eighty-nine degrees thirty-five minutes
fifty-six seconds West (N.89'35'S6"W.) on said south line a
distance of one thousand one hundred forty-two and
fifty-four hundredths (1142.54) feet to the point of
beginning.
This tract contains 44.50 acres, more or less. Subject to
easements, restrictions and reservations now of record.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A.
12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the city of
Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city
newspaper.
