AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND IN SECTION
THIRTY-FIVE (35), TOWNSHIP FOURTEEN (14) SOUTH, RANGE THREE (3)
WEST OF THE SIXTH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS, IN
CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-520.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas
Section 1. That the following described land, to -wit:
A tract of land in Section Thirty-five (35) , Township
Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth
Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the southeast corner of Section Thirty-five
(35) , Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West
of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Salina County, Kansas;
Thence Northerly along the east line of said Section
Thirty-five (35) on an assumed bearing of North zero
degrees twenty-six minutes forty-nine seconds East
(N.00°26'49"E.) a distance of one thousand three hundred
thirty and seventy-six hundredths feet (1,330.76');
Thence North eighty nine degrees fifty-four minutes
twenty-three seconds West (N.89 -54123"W.) a distance of
seventy-one and forty-one hundredths feet (71.41') to a
point on the west right-of-way line of Ninth Street (Old 81
Highway) , said point being the point of beginning:
Thence South eighty-nine degrees fifty-four minutes

one hundred seventy-four and eleven hundredths feet
(174.11') to a point on the east right-of-way line of Old

centerline of Schilling Road, said point being on the north
right-of-way line of Schilling Road;

(299.68') to a point on the east right-of-way line of
Interstate Highway 135';

West (5.00.26'02"W.) a distance of one thousand three

north of the centerline of Schilling Road and also being
the southwest corner of Wal-Mart Subdivision to the City of
Salina, Saline County, Kansas;

Thence North zero degrees twenty-four minutes nine
seconds East (N.00'24'09"E.) a distance of one foot (1.00')
along the south line of said Wal-Mart Subdivision;
Thence North eighty-six degrees forty-seven minutes
thirty-eight seconds East (N.86 -47'38"E.) along the south
line of Wal-Mart Subdivision a distance of two hundred
seventy and ten hundredths feet (270.101) to a tangent
curve having a radius of two hundred sixty-five and
twenty-eight hundredths feet (265.281) and a chord bearing
of North forty-five degrees seventeen minutes two seconds
East (N.45 -17'02"E.) a distance of three hundred
seventy-five and ninety* -seven hundredths feet (375.97');
Thence northeasterly along the arc of said curve a distance
of four hundred seventeen and eighty-five hundredths feet
(417.85') to a tangent line, said curve being the
southeasterly line of said Wal-Mart Subdivision and said
tangent line being the west right-of-way line of Old 81
Highway;
Thence North zero degrees thirteen minutes forty-one
seconds East (N.00°13141"E.) along the west right-of-way
line of Old 81 Highway a distance of one thousand one and
ninety-eight hundredths feet (1,001.98') to the point of
beginning.
(The above described parcel of land contains 1,650,209.06
square feet or 37.88 acres, more or less.)
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A.
12-520, is hereby annexed and made a part of the city of Salina, Kansas.

newspaper.
