ORDINANCE NUMBER 93-9599
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
LAND IN THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION ONE (1) , TOWNSHIP
FIFTEEN (15) SOUTH, RANGE THREE (3) WEST OF THE SIXTH PRINCIPAL
MERIDIAN IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS, IN CONFORMITY WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described land, to -wit:
A tract of land located in the Northwest Quarter of Section
One (1), Township Fifteen (15) South, Range Three (3)
West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County,
Kansas, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the northwest corner of said Section One (1) ;
Thence easterly along the north line of said northwest
quarter on an assumed bearing of South eighty-nine
degrees thirty-five minutes six seconds East
(S.89 -35'06"E.) a distance of four hundred forty-two and
fifty-nine hundredths feet (442.59'), more or less, to the
point of beginning;
Thence continuing easterly along the north line of said
northwest quarter bearing South eighty-nine degrees
thirty-five minutes six seconds East (5.89'35'06"E.) a
distance of two thousand one hundred ninety-two and
seventy-five hundredths feet (2192.75'), more or less, to
the North Quarter corner of said Section One (1) ;
Thence southerly along the east line of said northwest
quarter bearing South zero degrees twenty-one minutes five
seconds West (S.00'21'05"W.) a distance of sixty and zero
hundredths feet (60.00'), more or less;
Thence North eighty-nine degrees thirty-five minutes six
seconds West (N.89°35'06"W.) parallel with the north line
of said northwest quarter, a distance of two thousand two
hundred seventy-two and fifty-one hundredths feet
(2272.511), more or less;
Thence South eighty-seven degrees forty-five minutes five
seconds West (S.87045105"W.) a distance of one hundred
ninety-four and twenty-one hundredths feet (194.211) , more
or less;
Thence South forty-five degrees eighteen minutes twenty
seconds West (S.45018'20"W.) a distance of twenty-nine and
sixty-one hundredths feet (29.61'), more or less, to a
point on the east right-of-way line of Old 81 Highway;
Thence North zero degrees fifteen minutes forty-eight
seconds East (N.00'15'48"E.) along the east right-of-way
line of Old 81 Highway a distance of forty and zero
hundredths feet (40.00'), more or less, to a point on the
south right-of-way line of Schilling Road;
Thence South eighty-nine degrees thirty-five minutes six
seconds East (S.89°35106"E.) along the south right-of-way
line of Schilling Road a distance of two hundred fifteen
and zero hundredths feet (215.00'), more or less;
Thence North zero degrees twenty-four minutes fifty-four
seconds East (N.00'24'54"E.) a distance of twenty and zero
hundredths feet (20.00'), more or less, to a point on the
south right-of-way line of Schilling Road;

Thence South eighty-nine degrees thirty-five minutes six
seconds East (5.89'35106"E.) along the south right-of-way
line of Schilling Road a distance of seventy-nine and
seventy hundredths feet (79.70'), more or less;
Thence North zero degrees twenty-four minutes fifty-four
seconds East (N.00°24'54"E.) a distance of thirty and zero
hundredths feet (30.00'), more or less, to the point of
beginning.
The above described tract of land contains 3.154 acres,
more or less.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A.
12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the city of
Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city
newspaper.
