AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25, ARTICLE III, SECTION 25-51 OF
THE SALINA CODE PERTAINING TO BATTERY AND REPEALING EXISTING

BE ORDAINED by the Governing Body of Salina, Kansas:
a
Section 1. That Chapter 25, Article III, Section 25-51 of the Salina Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:

"Sec. 25-51. Battery.
Battery is:
(1) Intentionally or recklessly causing bodily harm to another person;
(2) Intentionally causing physical contact with another person when done in a
rude, insulting or angry matter.
Battery is a class B violation."
Section 2. That the existing Section 25-51 is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption
and publication once in the official city newspaper.
