ORDINANCE NUMBER 06-10350
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TRACT
OF LAND, IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF
K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described tract of land, to -wit:
A tract of land in the East Half (E/2) of the Southwest Quarter of Section Fifteen (15),
Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West of the 6th Principal Meridian, lying
East and North of the Interstate Highway 135, in Saline County, Kansas and more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast Corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 15, thence
South along the East line of said Southwest Quarter to the South line of Tract 1 as
described in Deed Book 1068, Page 6 at the Saline Country Register of Deeds; thence
Westerly along the South line of said tract to the East Right -of -Way line of the Interstate
Highway 135; thence Northwesterly along said East Right -of -Way line to the North line
of the Southwest Quarter of Section 15; thence Easterly along the North line of the
Southwest Quarter of Section 15; thence Easterly along the North line of the Southwest
Quarter of Section 15 to the point of beginning.
The above described tract contains 486,322 square feet or 11.16 acres.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526,
inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That the Salina Service Area Map (Figure 18, P, 172) of the Comprehensive
Plan of the City of Salina be and is hereby amended to show the above described tract as a Primary
Service Area for the extension of City utilities and services.
Section 3. That the tract of land described in Section 1 above shall be zoned "I-2" LIGHT
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT upon annexation into the city.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption
and publication once in the official city newspaper.
