ORDINANCE NUMBER 95-9681
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
LAND IN SECTION NINETEEN (19) , TOWNSHIP FOURTEEN (14) SOUTH, RANGE
TWO (2) WEST OF THE SIXTH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN IN SALINE COUNTY,
KANSAS, IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 to
12-526, INCLUSIVE.
Kansas:
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Section 1. That the following described land, to -wit:
A tract of land located in the Southeast Quarter (SE4) of
the Northwest Quarter (NW4) of Section Nineteen (19) ,
Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West of the
Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, more
particularly described as follows: Beginning at the
Southeast corner of the said Southeast Quarter (SE -41) of said
Northwest Quarter (NW4), said point being the Northeast
corner of Eastgate Addition;
-thence on an assumed bearing of S89°19'0411W along the
South line of said Southeast Quarter (SE4) and the north
line of Eastgate Addition and Dow Addition, a distance of
eight hundred ninety-four and ninety-eight hundredths
(894.98) feet to a point three hundred (300.00) feet East of
the Southeast corner of Meyer Addition;
-thence N00°00'00"E parallel with East line of said Meyer
Addition, a distance of seven hundred seventy-seven and
four hundredths (777.04) feet;
-thence S88°51'00"W along the North Right-of-way line of
Martin Avenue extended, a distance of three hundred and
four hundredths (300.04) feet to a point on the East line of
said Meyer Addition, said point being seven hundred
seventy-four and fifty-nine hundredths (774.59) feet North
of the Southeast corner of said Meyer Addition;
-thence N00°00'00"E along said East line of Meyer Addition,
a distance of five hundred fifty-nine and thirty-seven
hundredths (559.37) feet to the Northeast corner of said
Meyer Addition and the North line of said Southeast
Quarter ( SE4 ) ;
-thence N88°53132"E, a distance of four hundred forty-eight
and forty hundredths 448.40) along the North line of said
Southeast Quarter ( SE4) to a point on the City of Salina
Flood Control right-of-way;
-thence S27°40122"E along said Flood Control right-of-way, a
distance of two hundred twenty-three and sixty-one
hundredths (223.61) feet;
-thence N67°0512711E along said Flood Control right-of-way, a
distance of one hundred seven and seventy -hundredths
(107.70) feet;
-thence S33°10'18"E along said Flood Control right-of-way, a
distance of four hundred ten and forty hundredths (410.40)
feet;
-thence S29°12'29"E along said Flood Control right-of-way, a
distance of six hundred twenty-six and thirty-nine
hundredths (626.39) feet;
-thence S43*18'48"E along said Flood Control right-of-way, a
distance of twenty and thirty-six hundredths (20.36) feet to
a point on the East line of said Southeast Quarter (SE4);
-thence S00°08123"W along said East line of said Southeast
Quarter (SE -41), a distance of two hundred sixty-seven and
twenty-two hundredths (267.22) feet back to the point of
beginning.
The above described tract of land contains 23.17 acres, more
or less.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A.
12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the city of
Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
