ORDINANCE NUMBER 94-9662
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE
CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the Land Use Plan Map be amended as follows:
Area #1 South of I-70 along both sides of Ohio Street -
Agricultural to Commercial and Retail.
Area #2 West of I-135 along both sides of Magnolia Road - High
Density Residential to Commercial and Retail; Low
Density Residential to Commercial and Retail and Light
Industrial/Business Park.
Area #3 South of Schilling Road along both sides of Ninth
Street - Light Industrial/Business Park to Commercial
and Retail.
Section 2. That the Transportation Plan be amended by changing the
functional classification of Elm Street between Ohio Street and College Avenue
from Local to Collector.
Section 3. That the Utilities Plan be amended by showing: a) a new
water tower at the south end of the Airport Industrial Center and a new water
line along Centennial Road from Wall Street to Jumper Road; and b) a new
booster pump station at Schilling Road and the UPRR tracks, a new water line
in Schilling Road from Ninth Street to Ohio Street and a new water line in Ohio
Street from Schilling Road to Neal Avenue.
Section 4. That the Service Areas Map be amended by changing: a)
the area south of I-70 along both sides of Ohio Street from Rural Service Area
to Primary Service Area; and b) the area west of I-135 along both sides of
Magnolia Road from Secondary Service Area to Primary Service Area.
Section 5. That Annexation Policy A2 be amended to read as
follows: "Annexation will be required before facilities and services are
provided to any site, except for industrial uses which shall consent in writing.
to future annexation".
Section 6. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect f
and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
