ORDINANCE NUMBER 94-9648
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, SECTION 2-2 OF THE SALINA CODE
REGARDING LICENSE FEES, PERMIT FEES AND OTHER USER RELATED FEES;
AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Chapter 2, Section 2-2 of the Salina Code shall be
amended to read as follows:
"Section 2-2. License fees, permit fees and other user related fees.
(a) The Board of Commissioners shall determine, by resolution,
all license fees, permit fees and other user related fees or charges
established by the ordinances of the City. All fees and charges
shall be in such amounts as will adequately reimburse the City for
the services rendered by it in connection therewith.
(b) The City Manager shall annually review all license fees,
permit fees and other user related fees or charges so as to insure
that the fees charged adequately reimburse the City for the services
rendered by it. In order to assure an equitable adjustment, the City
Manager is authorized and directed to increase or decrease such
license fees, permit fees and other user related fees or charges in
approximately the same proportion to any increase or decrease in the
general fund for the ensuing year.
Section 2. That the existing Section 2-2 of the Salina Code is
hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
