ORDINANCE NUMBER 96-9725
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
LAND IN SECTION TWENTY-SIX (26), TOWNSHIP FOURTEEN (14) SOUTH,
RANGE THREE (3) WEST, AND OF SECTION THIRTY-FIVE (35) TOWNSHIP
FOURTEEN (14) SOUTH, RANGE THREE (3) WEST IN CONFORMITY WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described land, to -wit:
A tract of land located in the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section
twenty-six (26), Township fourteen (14) South, Range three (3) West and
the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section thirty-five (35), Township
fourteen (14) South, Range three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian
in Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of the Southeast Quarter (SE
1/4) of said Section twenty-six (26);
Thence North along the West line of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4)
of said Section twenty-six (26) on an assumed bearing of North zero
degrees nine minutes and fifteen seconds East (N 00° 09' 15" E) a distance
of ninety-six and twenty-five hundredths feet (96.25');
Thence North eighty-nine degrees thirty-eight minutes zero seconds
East (N 89° 38' 00" E) a distance of twenty-two and forty hundredths feet
(22.40');
Thence North sixty-six degrees twenty-five minutes and thirty-six
seconds East (N 66° 25' 36" E) a distance of thirty-eight and seven
hundredths feet (38.07');
Thence North eighty-one degrees twenty-one minutes and twenty-

the westerly right-of-way of Interstate Highway 135;

seconds East (N 52° 55' 36" E) a distance of three hundred feet (300.00')
to a point on the easterly right-of-way of I-135;
Thence southerly along the easterly right-of-way of 1-135 on a non
tangent curve to the right having a radius of five thousand eight hundred
seventy-nine and fifty-eight hundredths feet (5879.58'), an arc distance of
two thousand five hundred fourteen and sixteen hundredths feet (2514.16'),
said curve having a long chord of two thousand four hundred ninety-five
and five hundredths feet (2495.05') and a bearing of South twenty-four
degrees forty-nine minutes and twenty four seconds East (S 24° 49'24" E);
Thence South seventy-seven degrees twenty-five minutes and thirty-
seven seconds West (S 77° 25' 37" W) a distance of three hundred feet
(300.00') to a point on the westerly right-of-way of I-135;
Thence North thirty-one degrees three minutes and five seconds
West (N 31 ° 03' 05" W) a distance of two hundred fifty-three and sixteen

hundredths feet (58.55') to a point on the West line of the Northeast
Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section thirty-five (35), Township fourteen (14)
South, Range three (3) West;
Thence North zero degrees five minutes and four seconds West (N
00° 05' 04" W) along the West line of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of
said Section thirty five (35), a distance of fifty-three and seventy-six
hundredths feet (53.76') back to the Point -of -Beginning.
The above described tract of land contains twenty-nine and sixteen
hundredths (29.16) acres, more or less.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526,
inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the city of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
