ORDINANCE NUMBER 97-9782
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE VACATION OF A PART OF
THE EXISTING STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY ON GRAVES BOULEVARD IN
WESTPORT EXCHANGE ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF SALINA, SALINE
COUNTY, KANSAS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the. Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the currently platted street right-of-way for Graves
Boulevard from the north property line of Lot One (1) , Replat of Westport
Exchange Block 2 for the formation of Lot 1, to the north boundary of Westport
Exchange Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas is hereby vacated.
Section 2. That the west thirty-five feet (35') of the above
described portion of currently platted street right-of-way for Graves Boulevard,
1 which is vacated by this ordinance, shall revert to the owner of Block Two (2) ,
l Westport Exchange Addition, and the east thirty-five feet (35') of the above
described portion
of
currently platted street right-of-way for
Graves Boulevard,
which is vacated
by
this ordinance, shall revert to the owner
of Block Four (4) ,
Westport Exchange Addition.
Section 3. That the petitioner shall provide for the design,
construction and dedication of additional right-of-way for a cul-de-sac at the
new terminus of Graves Boulevard in compliance with standards established by
the City Engineer. If this condition is not met within Twelve (12) months of
approval of the ordinance, the vacation shall be rescinded and the
right-of-way shall remain in place.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
