98-9872 Annex 1T15SR3W(Published in The Salina Journal f',�/y�0, 1998) ORDINANCE NUMBER 98-9872 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND, IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE. BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the following described tract of land, to -wit: A tract of land located in the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (NWl/4NW'/a) of Section One (1), Township 15 South (T15S), Range 3 West (R3W) of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast Corner of said Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (NW'/4NW'/4) of Section One (1); - Thence South Zero degrees Twenty-one minutes and Twenty seconds West (S00°21'20"W), on the East line of said Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (NW'/4NW'/4) a distance of Sixty (60) feet to a point the South right-of-way line of Schilling Road. Said point also being the Northwest corner of Bland Subdivision, Saline County, Kansas said point being the point of beginning of the tract to be described; - Thence South Zero degrees Twenty-one minutes and Twenty seconds West (S00°21'20"W), on the West line of said Bland Subdivision a distance of One Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-two and Seventy-nine Hundredths (1252.79) feet to the Southwest corner of said Bland Subdivision, said point being on the North line of Industrial Area Plat, Saline County, Kansas; - Thence North Eighty-nine degrees Seven minutes and Thirty-four seconds West (N89°07'34"W), on said North line a distance of One Thousand One Hundred Sixty-eight and Eight Hundredths (1168.08) feet to the Northwest corner of said Industrial Area Plat, said point being on the East right-of-way line of South Ninth Street also known as Old U.S. Highway 81; - Thence North Zero degrees Sixteen minutes and Fifty seconds East (N00°16'50"E), on said East right-of-way line a distance of One Thousand Two Hundred Thirteen and Nine Hundredths (1213.09) feet to a point being on the South right-of-way line of Schilling Road; - Thence North Forty-five degrees Six minutes and Forty-five seconds East (N45°06'45"E), on said South right-of-way line a distance of Twenty-nine and Sixty-four Hundredths (29.64) feet; - Thence, continuing on said north right-of-way line, North Eighty-seven degrees Forty-four minutes and Forty-two seconds East (N87°44'42"E), a distance of One Hundred Ninety-four and Twenty-three Hundredths (194.23) feet; - Thence, continuing on said South right-of-way line, South Eighty-nine degrees Thirty-five minutes and Fifty-six seconds East (S89°35'56"E), a distance of Nine Hundred Fifty-four and Seventy-two Hundredths (954.72) feet to the point of beginning. Said tract of land is subject to all easements and right of ways of record. The above described tract of land contains Thrity-three and Forty-six Hundredths (33.46) acres, or One Million Four Hundred Fifty-seven Thousand Five Hundred and Seventeen (1,457,517) square feet, more or less. meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas. Section 2. That the tract of land described in Section 1 above shall be zoned PC -5 and PC -3, PLANNED SERVICE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT and PLANNED SHOPPING CENTER DISTRICT. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
