CORRECTED ORDINANCE NUMBER 98-9869
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
CTS OF LAND, IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE
VISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described tract of land, to -wit:
A tract of land located in the North Half (N'/z) of the Northwest Quarter
(NW'/a) of Section Thirty -One (31), Township Fourteen South (T14S),
Range Two West (R2W) of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County,
Kansas, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of said Section Thirty -One (31),
thence on an assumed bearing of North Ninety degrees Zero minutes Zero
seconds East (N90 ° 00'00"E), along the north fine of said Section Thirty -One
(31), a distance of Five Hundred Fifty-one and Sixteen Hundredths (551.16)
feet to the point of beginning, said point being the Northeast corner of the
tract described in Deed Book 36, Page 288;
- thence continuing along the north line of said Northwest Quarter (NW'/4),
on said assumed bearing of North Ninety degrees Zero minutes and Zero
seconds East (N90 ° 00'00"E), a distance of One Thousand Six Hundred
Fifty-two and Seventy Hundredths (1,652.70) feet, to the Northwest corner
of a tract described in Deed Book 345, Page 999;
- thence South Zero degrees Twenty-seven minutes and Seventeen seconds
West (S00°27'17"W), a distance of One Thousand Three Hundred Thirty-
five and Ninety-nine Hundredths (1,335.99) feet to a point on the south line
of said North Half (NI/2) of said Northwest Quarter (NW'/4);
- thence North Eighty-nine degrees Thirty-six minutes and Fifty-three
seconds West (N89°36'53"W), along said south line a distance of One
Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-five and Forty Hundredths (1,665.40) feet;
- thence North One degree Zero minutes and Nineteen seconds East
(NO 1 ° 00' 19"E), a distance of One Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-four
and Ninety-four Hundredths (1,324.94) feet, to the point of beginning.
Said tract of land is subject to all easements and right of ways of record.
The above described tract of land contains Fifty and Sixty-seven Hundredths
(50.67) acres, or Two Million Two Hundred Seven Thousand Two Hundred
and Twenty Two (2,207,222) square feet, more or less.
one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526,
is hereby annexed and made a part of the city of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That the tract of land described in Section 1 above shall be zoned R-1, Single-
amily Residential District and R-2 Multi -Family Residential District.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect fiiom and after its adoption
and publication once in the official city newspaper.
