ORDINANCE NUMBER 98-9874
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
TRACT OF LAND, IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described tract of land, to -wit:
A tract of land located in the SW 1/4 and the SE 1/4 of Section 36,
Township 14 South, Range 3 West, the SW 1/4 Sec. 31, Twp. 14 S, Range
2 West, the NW 1/4 Sec. 6, Twp. 15 S, Range 2 West, and the NE 1/4 Sec.
1, Twp. 15 S, Range 3 West, all of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline
County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the SW 1/4 of said Sec. 36;
- Thence on an assumed bearing of S 89°44'29" W along the south line of
said SW 1/4 a distance of 22.09 feet to the west right-of-way line of the
Union Pacific Railroad;
- Thence N 00'14'06" E along said west R/W a distance of 50.00 feet;
- Thence S 89°58'10" E a distance of 65.78 feet to the east right-of-way
line of the Union Pacific Railroad;
- Thence S 00°00'08" W along said east right-of-way, a distance of 20.00
feet;
- Thence S 89°49'24" E parallel with the south line of the SE 1/4 of said
Sec. 36, a distance of 2534.63 feet;
- Thence N 05'10'44" E a distance of 371.60 feet;
- Thence S 89°27'06" E a distance of 30.00 feet to a point. on the east line
of said Sec. 36, and 400.00 feet north of the southeast corner thereof,
- Thence S 89°27'06" E a distance of 30.00 feet;
- Thence S 01'05'30" E a distance of 349.44 feet;
- Thence S 00°32'54" W a distance of 50.00 feet to a point on the south
line of the SW 1/4 of Sec. 31, Twp. 14 S, R 2 W and 40.00 feet east of the
southwest corner thereof,
- Thence N 89°33'14" E along the north line of the NW 1/4 of Sec. 6,
Twp. 15 S, R 2 W, a distance of 25.00 feet;
- Thence S 00°36'24" W a distance of 157.03 feet;
- Thence S 04°28'51" W a distance of 370.01 feet;
- Thence N 89°2336" W a distance of 40.00 feet to a point on the east line
of the NE 1/4 of Sec. 1, Twp. 15 S, R 3 W, and 525.00 feet south of the
northeast corner thereof,
- Thence N 89°23'36" W a distance of 40.00 feet;
- Thence N 03'17'04" W a distance of 368.36 feet;
- Thence N 89°49'24" W parallel with the north line of the NE 1/4 of said
Sec. 1 and 157 feet south thereof, a distance of 2242.21 feet;
- Thence N 00'10'36" E a distance of 97.00 feet;
- Thence N 89°49'24" W a distance of 285.78 feet to the east R/W line of
the Union Pacific RR;
- Thence N 89°49'15" W a distance of 43.55 feet to a point on the west
line of the NE 1/4 of Sec. 1, Twp. 15 S, R 3 W;
- Thence N 00'19'20" W along said west line, a distance of 60.00 feet
back to the Point of Beginning.
Said tract of land is subject to all easements and right of ways of record.
The above described tract of land contains Twelve and Forty-seven
Hundredths (12.47) acres, more or less.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526,
inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
