ORDINANCE NUMBER 98-9873
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
TRACT OF LAND, IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described tract of land, to -wit:
A tract of land located in the North Half (N'/2) of the Northeast Quarter
(NE'/4) of Section Two (2), Township Fifteen South (T15S), Range
Three West (R3W), and the North half of the Northwest Quarter of
Section One (1), Township Fifteen South (T15S), Range Three West
(R3W) of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the East line of the Northeast Quarter (NE'/4) of
said Section Two (2), said point being One Hundred Five (105) feet
South of the Northeast corner thereof;
- Thence North Eighty-nine degrees Thirty-six minutes and Twenty-two
seconds West (N89°36'22"W), parallel with the North line of said
Northeast Quarter (NE'/4), a distance of Two Hundred Twenty-six and
Twenty-six hundredths (226.26) feet to a point on the North line of
Riffel Addition.
- Thence South Forty-six degrees Forty-nine minutes and Ten seconds
East (S46°49'10"E), a distance of Fifty-three and Ten Hundredths
(56.10) feet;
- Thence South Zero degrees Zero minutes and Forty seconds West
(S00°00'40"W), a distance of Three Hundred Fifty-four and Sixty-five
Hundredths (354.65) feet;
- Thence South Fifteen degrees One minute and Ten seconds East
(S15°01'10"E), a distance of Twenty-five and Nineteen Hundredths
(25.19) feet;
- Thence South Thirteen degrees Eighteen minutes and Eleven seconds
East (S 13 ° 18' 11 "W), a distance of Eighty-seven and Fifty-one
Hundredths (87.51) feet;
- Thence South Zero degrees Eight minutes and Thirty-nine seconds
West (S00°08'39"W), a distance of Four Hundred Seventy-six and Fifty-
five Hundredths (476.55) feet;
- Thence South Sixteen degrees Forty-nine minutes and Twenty-nine
seconds West (S 16 °49'29"W), a distance of Two Hundred Thirty-four
and Fifty Hundredths (234.50) feet to a point on the South line of the
North half of the Northeast Quarter of said Section Two (2);
- Thence South Eighty-nine degrees Fifty-four minutes and Thirty-four
seconds East (S89 ° 54'34"E), along said South line, a distance of Two
Hundred Twenty-three and Thirty-eight Hundredths (223.38) feet to the
Southeast corner of the North Half (NI/2) of the Northeast Quarter (NE'/4)
of said Section Two (2);
- Thence North Eighty-nine degrees Thirty-three minutes and Twenty-
three seconds East (N89°33'23"E), along the South line of the North
Half (N%2) of the Northwest Quarter (NW'/4) of Section One (1), a
distance of One Hundred Forty-eight and Seventy-seven (148.77) feet;
- Thence North Zero degrees Sixteen minutes and Fifty seconds East
(N00 ° 16'50"E), a distance of One Thousand One Hundred Ninety-eight
and Thirteen Hundredths (1198.13) feet;
- Thence North Eighty-nine degrees Thirty-six minutes and Twenty-two
seconds West (N89°36'22"W), parallel with the North line of said
Northwest Quarter (NW'/4), a distance of One Hundred Forty-eight and
Zero Hundredths (148.00) feet back to the Point of Beginning.
Said tract of land is subject to all easements and right of ways of record.
The above described tract of land contains Eight and Ninety Hundredths
(8.90) acres, more or less.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526,
inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
