ORDINANCE NUMBER 98-9899
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
TRACT OF LAND, IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described tract of land, to -wit:
A tract of land located in the Southwest Quarter (SW'/4) of Section Six
(6), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West of the Sixth
Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast Corner of the Southwest Quarter
(SW'/4) of Section Six (6), thence South Zero degrees Four
minutes and Thirty-eight seconds East (S 00°04'38" E) along
the East line of said Southwest Quarter (SW I/4) a distance
of Ninety-one and Zero Hundredths (91.00) feet to the South
line of Salina Flood Protection Dike said point being the
point of beginning,
- thence South Eighty-nine degrees Fifty minutes and Eleven
seconds West (S89°50'11"W) along the South line of said
Flood Protection Dike a distance of One Thousand Four
Hundred Thirty-six and Eleven Hundredths (1,436.11) feet;
- thence South Zero degrees Seven minutes and Fifty-one
seconds West (S00°07'51"W) a distance of Nine Hundred
Nine and Zero Hundredths (909.00) feet;
- thence South Eighty-nine degrees Fifty minutes and Eleven
seconds West (S89'50'1 I "W) a distance of One Thousand
Twenty-nine and Zero Hundredths (1,029.00) feet to a point
on the East Right-of-way line of Ohio Street;
- thence South Zero degrees Seven minutes and Fifty-one
seconds West (S00°07'51 "W) along the West Right-of-way
line of Ohio Street a distance of One Thousand Five
Hundred Seventy-five and Ninety-two Hundredths
(1,575.92) feet to a point on the North Right-of-way line of
Highway Old 40;
- thence North Eighty-nine degrees Forty-seven minutes and
Thirty-five seconds East (N89°47'35"E) along the North
Right-of-way of Highway Old 40 a distance of Nine Hundred
Thirty-one and Fifty-four Hundredths (931.54) feet;
- thence North Sixty-eight degrees Thirty-seven minutes and
Twenty-one seconds East (N68'3 T21 "E) a distance of One
Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-one and Seventy-two
Hundredths (1,621.72) feet;
- thence North Twenty-three degrees Eight minutes and
Fifty-six seconds East (N23°08'56"E) a distance of Seventy-
nine and Eighty-three Hundredths (79.83) feet to a point on
the East line of said Southwest Quarter (SW'/4);
- thence North Zero degrees Four minutes and Nineteen
seconds West (N00 ° 04' 19"W) along the East line of said
Southwest Quarter (SWI/4) a distance of One Thousand Eight
Hundred Twenty-four and Six Hundredths (1,824.06) feet
back to the point of beginning.
Said tract of land is subject to all easements and road right of ways of
record.
The above described tract of land contains One Hundred Eight and
Seventy-five Hundredths (108.75) acres more or less.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526,
inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That the tract of land described in Section 1 above shall be zoned I-3
VY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
