BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That Section 10 of Ordinance Number 5237, as amended by Ordinance Number 5873, be and it is hereby amended to read as follows: " Section 10: RATES: The maximum fare upon any regular line or route of said motor bus transportation system for one continuous passage in the same direction within the limits of said city, including transfer to a connecting route (as hereinafter provided for), shall not exceed the following: For all persons, other than a child in arms, each single fare 10 cents. I The grantee shall furnish transfers without charge upon the pay- ment of one fare for transfer from one route to another, good for continuous passage in the same direction on the next avail- able connecting bus Where it is necessary for the passenger to use more than one of said designated routes to reach his desti- nation, but no such transfer shall be good for passage upon any route by which the passenger may return substantially to his point of origin." i Section 2. This ordinance shall be read in full at three regular weekly meetings of the Board of Commissioners of the Cit of Salina and, , iirnnediately after its final passage, shall be published in the official city paper once a week for three I consecutive weeks, and after such passage and publication, and after its acceptance in writing by grantee has been filed as herein provided for, and shall thereafter I I take effect and be in force as provided by law.
