ORDINANCE NUMBER 5857

AN ORDINANCE determining the necessity to appropriate certain real property for public
use and requiring the filing of a plat and survey thereof by the City Engineer with the
City Clerk.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That it is hereby determined to be necessary to appropriate certain
private property located in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, to -wit:
Tract 1. Beginning at a point 20 feet south of the
north line of Section 26, Township 14 South, Range 3
West of the 6th P.M. and 1336 feet west of the east
line of said Section, thence south 10 feet, thence west
290.25 feet, thence northwesterly along the east right-
of-way line of U.S. Highway 81 By -Pass a distance of
13.2 feet, thence east a distance of 298.25 feet to the
place of beginning.
Tract 2. Beginning at a point 20 feet south of the
north line of Section 26, Township 14 South, Range 3
West of the 6th P.M. and 60 feet west of the east line
of said Section, thence south a distance of 10 feet, thence
west a distance of 1242 feet, thence north a distance of
10 feet, thence east a distance of 1242 feet to the point
of beginning;
for use of the City as a public street.
Section 2. Harold H. Harper, City Engineer of the said city, is hereby directed to
survey the lands to be taken, as aforesaid, and to file a complete description and plat
thereof with the City Clerk of said City prior to May 19, 1954.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
