AN ORDINANCE determining the necessity to appropriate certain real property for public use
and requiring the filing of a plat and survey thereof by the City Engineer with the City
Clerk.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That it is hereby determined to be necessary to appropriate certain
private property located in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, to -wit:
Tract 1. The East 17 feet of Block 4, Claflin Addition
to Kansas Wesleyan University, Salina, Saline County,
Kansas;
Tract 2. Beginning it a point at the intersection of the
east boundary of the Southeast Quarter (SE/4) of Section
24, Township 14, Range 3 West of the 6th P.M. in Saline
County, Kansas, and the north line of Jewell Avenue extended
east, thence west a distance of 50 feet, thence south a
distance of 1328.23 feet to the north line of Cloud Avenue,
thence east along the north line of Cloud Averxu.e to the said
east boundary line of said Section 24, Township 14, Range 3 West of
the 6th P.M., thence north along the said quarter section line a
d1ktance of 1328.23 feet to the point of beginning;
Tract 3. Beginning at a point at the intersection of the east
boundary of the Southeast Quarter (SE/4) of Section 24, Township
14, Range 3 west of the 6th P.M. in Saline County, Kansas, and
the north line of Minneapolis Avenue, extended east, thence east
a distance of 50 feet, thence south a distanceof 1980.23 feet
to the north line of Cloud Avenue, thence west along the north
line of Cloud Avenue to the said east boundary line of said
Section 24, Township 14, Range 3 West of the 6th P.M., thence
north along the said quarter section line a distance of 1980.23
feet to the point of beginning;
for the use of the City as a public street.
Section 22, Harold F. Harper, City Engineer of the said City, is hereby directed
to survey the lands to be taken, as aforesaid, and to file a complete description and
plat thereof with the City Clerk of said City prior to May 12, 1954•
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its.
adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
