AN ORDINANCE creating and defining certain through streets in the City of Salina, and
amending Section 24-1005, Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina, Kansas, 1948, and
repealing the said Section 24-1005.
BEI IT ORDAIN}? by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina:
Section 1. ANENDIEM. Said Section 24-1005, Revised Crdinances of the City of
Salina,Kansas, 1948, be and it is hereby amended to read as follows, to -wit:
"Section 24-1005. THROUGH STREETS. Those streets and parts of streets described
as follows: except where the intersection of the intercepting street is controlled byj
electric traffic -control device:
(1) Santa Fe Avcnuc from the south line of Otis Street to the
north line of Claflin Avenue, exceptat Pacific Avenue.
(2) Iron Avenue from the west line of College Avenue to the
east line of Marymount Road, except at the entrance to
Iron Avenue from the north on College Avenue.
(3) Ninth Street from the north city limits to the south City
limits, except at its intersection with Pacific Avenue
and Broadway Boulevard.
(4) Ash Street from the east line of Seventh Street to the east
line of Broadway Boulevard, except at its intersection with
College Avenue.
(5) College Avenue from the north line of Elm Street to the north
line of Prescott Street except at the south line of Iron
Avenue.
(6) State Street from the east line of Broadway Boulevard to
the east line of College Avenue,
(7) Pacific Avenue from the east city limits to the west line
of Ninth Street, and Broadway Boulevard, from the west
line of Ninth Street to the south city limits.
(9) Fourth Street from the south line of :°lalnut Street to the
north line of Cloud Avenue, except at Republic Avenue,
Crawford Avenue and Claflin Avenue.
(10) Fifth Street from the south line of Walnut Street to the
north line of Republic Avenue, except at Crawford Avenue.
(11) Eighth Street from the south line of Walnut Street to the
south line of Prescott.
(12) Highland Avenue from the south line of Prescott Avenue to
the north line of Cloud Street, except at Crawford Avenue
and Claflin Avenue.
(13) Republic Avenue from the east line of Cherokee Drive to
Roach Street, except at Ninth Street, Highland Avenue and
Santa Fe Avenue and the 14issouri Pacific "ai.lroad Right-
of-way. and Broadway Boulevard.
(14) .,walnut Street from its intersection with the center- line of
the channel of the Stnolcy Hill;iver to the east line of
Broadway Boulevard c,rcept as its intersection with Eighth
Street and College Avenue.
(15) Crawford Street from the west line of the C4.ty limitsto
the cast line of the city limits, e_:cept at its inter-
section with Ninth Street, Santa Fe Avenue, Broadway
Boulevard and the Plissouri Pacific Railroad Right- of -way.
(lo) Cloud Street from the west city limits, to the east
city limits, e::cept at its intersection with. Ninth Street.
(17) Front Street from the north line of Republic to the -South
line Crawford Avenue.
(14) Quincy Street from the south line of Republic rvcnue to the
north line of Cloud Avenuey dxcept at Jewell Street.
(19) Ohio Street from the north line of city limits to the scuth
line Gypsum Avemae, except at its intersection ti:ith Iron
Avenue.
Section 2. I3FEAL. That the ori;inal Section 24-1005, Revised Ordinances of the
City of Salina, Kansas, 191,8, b. and it is hereby repealed.
Sec -ion 3. That this ordinance shall be in. full force and effect from and after
its publication in the official city paper.
