AN ORLIETAMCE regulating parking on portions of certain streets in the City of Salina,
providing a penalty for -the violation thereof and amending Section 21,-1411, Revised
Ordinances of City of Salina, Kansas, 19410-1. a.nd Supplemental Sections 2i., -1411A and
24--1411B., and repealing th„ ori[.in^
al ,sections 24-1411, 24-1411A and 24-1411B aforesaid.
BE, IT ORDAINTED by the Board of Commissioners of tho City of Salina, Kansas;
Section 1. A11~11DIiIT. That Section 24-1411, Revised ordinances of City of Salina,
Kansas, 194:;, and Supplemental Sections '21+-1411A and 211-1411B, be and they are hereby
amended to read as follows to -wit:
"Section 24-1411. ANGLE PAM IING. On the following named streets vehicl^s shall be
parked with the right side of any such vehicle towa.rcl and at an angle of 45 degrees with
the right hand curb line of such street, and with the right front wheel of such vehicle
ac:ainst the curb or on the curb line of such streets, and it shall be the duty of the
City ManaCer and the Street Bepartrnent to cause to be plainly marked upon the curb or
along the curb line, by means of painted lines set at an angle of 45 degrees with the
curb line, and ten (10) feet six (6) inches distant from center to center of such lines
at the curb line, indicating the spaces within which and the an£je at which all vehicles
shall be parked on such portions of such streets, and it shall be unlaaful for anNr driver
or owner of any vehicle to park or permit the same to be parsed on any portion of any
such streets except within the space so indicated, and at the anCle so indicated, the
streets upon i'.hich such angle parking is to be required bein ;as follo�,as:
Fifth Street between Ash Street and r°;alnut Street
Santa Fe Avenue between Pine Street and I%iul'oerry Street
Seventh Street between Elm Street and T;,Ta.lnut Street
Iron Avenue between fourth Street and Plinth Street
Provided further, that on all other streets and. portions of streets in the City of
Salina., ;,There parking is not prohibited, all vehicles shall be narked with the right
hand side thoroof parallel and nc,It adjacent to !.he curb or the curb lino, except that
angle parking shall be permitted as provided above in all areas in which: the curbir!, has
been set back and at least seven feet additional width of Street, provided between the
recessed curb line and the curb line of the streetl pr3.orgto the effective date of tiis
ordinance and in all recessed par'_ipg areas for which permits shall be hereafter granted

Section 2. PENALTY. A person convicted of a violationof this ordinance shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall_ for conviction be pilydlshed by a .fine of not
