ORDINANCE NUMBER 98-9878
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
TRACT OF LAND, IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described tract of land, to -wit:
A tract of land located in the South Half (S'h ) of Section Thirty (30),
Township 14 South (T14S), Range 2 West (R2W) of the Sixth Principal
Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, described as follows:
Commencing at the South Quarter Corner of said South Half (S%2), thence
on an assumed bearing of North Zero degrees Twelve minutes and Four
seconds West (N00° 12'04"W), along the north -south quarter line of said
South Half (S'h), a distance of Fifty and Zero Hundredths (50.00) feet, to
the point of beginning;
- thence continuing along north -south quarter line on said assumed
bearing of North Zero degrees Twelve minutes and Four seconds West
(N00° 12'04"W), a distance of One Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-
nine and Eighty-eight Hundredths (1,379.88) feet to a non tangent curve
with a radius of Five Hundred Eighty-seven and Twenty-six Hundredths
(587.26) feet, a chord bearing of North Forty-one degrees Ten minutes
and Twenty-nine seconds West (N41 ° 10'29"W) and a chord distance of
Six Hundred Seven and Seventeen Hundredths (607.17) feet;
- thence along said curve an arc distance of Six Hundred Thirty-eight and
Ten Hundredths (638.10) feet, to a non tangent curve with a radius of
Five Hundred Four and Fifty-seven Hundredths (504.57) feet, a chord
bearing of North Nine degrees Forty-two minutes and Thirty-eight
seconds East (N09°42'38"E) and chord distance of Three Hundred Sixty-
six and Fifty-seven Hundredths (366.57) feet;
- thence along said curve an arc distance of Three Hundred Seventy-five
and Sixteen Hundredths (375.16) feet, to a non tangent curve with a
radius of Four Hundred Eighty and Twenty-eight Hundredths (480.28)
feet, a chord bearing of North Fifty-eight degrees Forty-nine minutes and
Four seconds East (N58°49'04"E) and chord distance of Three Hundred
Ninety and Seventy-eight Hundredths (390.78) feet;
- thence along said curve an arc distance of Four Hundred Two and
Forty-five Hundredths (402.45) feet, to a point on the north -south quarter
line of said South Half (S'/Z);
- thence North Zero degrees Twelve minutes and Four seconds West
(N00 ° 12'04"W), along said north -south quarter line a distance of One
Hundred Eighty-six and Ninety Hundredths (186.90) feet to the center of
said Section Thirty (30);
- thence North Eighty-nine degrees Seventeen minutes and Forty-five
seconds East (N89° 17'45"E), along the north line of the Southeast
Quarter (SEI/4) of said Section Thirty (30), a distance of Three Hundred
Sixty-three and Fifty-seven Hundredths (363.57) feet, to a point on the
west line of the City of Salina Flood Control Levee Right of Way;
- thence South Eighteen degrees Three minutes and Fifteen seconds East
(S 18 ° 03' 15 "E), along the west line of said Right of Way, a distance of
Three Hundred Forty-five and Seventy-five Hundredths (345.75) feet;
- thence South Fifty degrees Seven minutes and Forty-nine seconds East
(S50°07'49"E), along the west line of said Right of Way, a distance of
One Hundred Sixty-nine and Ninety-three Hundredths (169.93) feet;
- thence South Five degrees Fifty-six minutes and Twenty-five seconds
West (S05 ° 56'25 "W), along the west line of said Right of Way, a distance
of One Hundred Forty and Eighty-eight Hundredths (140.88) feet;
- thence South Twenty degrees Eight minutes and Thirty seconds East
(S20°08'30"E), along the west line of said Right of Way, a distance of
Forty-two and Sixty-four Hundredths (42.64) feet:
- thence North Eighty-nine degrees Twenty-four minutes and Thirty-three
seconds East (N89°24'33"E), along the west line of said Right of Way, a
distance of Eighty and Fifty-three Hundredths (80.53) feet;
- thence South Twenty-one degrees Thirty-nine minutes and Fifty-four
seconds East (S21 °39'54"E), along the west line of said Right of Way, a
distance of Two Hundred Ninety-five and Sixty-eight Hundredths
(295.68) feet;
- thence South Twenty-five degrees Thirty minutes and Four seconds East
(S25°30'04"E), along the west line of said Right of Way, a distance of
Five Hundred Thirty-nine and Sixty-four Hundredths (539.64) feet;
- thence South Twenty-seven degrees Three minutes and Six seconds East
(S27003'06"E), along the west line of said Right of Way, a distance of
Nine Hundred Sixteen and Seventy-three Hundredths (916.73) feet;
- thence South Eighty-nine degrees Nineteen minutes and Nineteen
seconds West (S89° 19'19"W), a distance of Six Hundred Fifty-five and
Seventy-five Hundredths (655.75) feet;
- thence South Eighty-nine degrees Twenty-four minutes and Eighteen
seconds West (S89°24'18"W), a distance of Three Hundred Forty-three
and Eighty-nine Hundredths (343.89) feet;
- thence South Zero degrees Thirty-seven minutes and Twelve seconds
East (S00°37'12"E), a distance of Three Hundred Eighty and Zero
Hundredths (380.00) feet,
- thence South Eighty-nine degrees Sixteen minutes and Four seconds
West (S89° 16'04"W), parallel with the south line of the Southeast
Quarter (SES/4) of said Section Thirty (30), a distance of Four Hundred
Thirty-four and Forty-one Hundredths (434.41) feet to the point of
beginning;
Said tract of land contains Two Million Four Hundred Thirty Thousand
Three Hundred and Five (2,430,305) square feet, or Fifty-five and
Seventy-nine Hundredths (55.79) acres, more or less.
Said tract of land is subject to all easements and right of ways of record.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526,
inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
