5949 Crude Petroleum Regs1 i d ORDINANCE NUMBER 5949 (Published in the Salina Journal ,1955) AN ORDIlYANCE, regulating the business of producing crude petroleum within the City of Salina, Kansas, prescribing penalties for the violation thereof and re- pealing Ordinance No.5944 of said city. BE IT ORDAIM by the Board. of Conmissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: s Section 1. 15-113 - FENCES - All crude petroleum tank batteries, including, not limited to receiving tanks, storage tanks, cat -walks and diked areas and all jacks and motors shall be securely and permanently fenced by a six-foot chain link e, topped by three (3) strands of barbed wire. Any gate installed for operative in such fence shall be designed of like or equivalent material and shall be securely at all times and adaptable to opening only by key. Section 2. - PROHIBITION. That production of crude petroleum from sub - within the City of Salina.. Kansas, except after strict compliance, as a condi- tion precedent, with the requisites of Section 1 hereof, is hereby prohibited. I Section 3 - PENALTY. That any person violating any provision of this �ordinance or any person failing to strictly comply with its requisites, shall be deemed to be guilty of a public offense and fined not less than $50.00 and not more than $500.00. Each day of violation is hereby declared to be a separate offense. Section 4 - This ordinance shall be supplemental to and shall not supercede n any way the provisions of Chapter 15, Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina, Kansas for 1948. Section 5 - REPEAL - That Ordinance No. 5944 of said city be and it is ereby repealed. Section 6 - That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect sixty (60) f Nays from and after its adoption and publication in the official city paper.
