An ordinance creating and opening an alley over and across certain lots
therein named.
HBe-_--t,.-ordained by, the 1�fayor - an
Councilmen of -the City of Salina:
Section 1. That an alley twenty (20) feet wide be created and
opened between Santa Fe avenue and Fifth street over and across the south
twenty feet of lob; numbered Fifty-seven on Santa Fe avenue- and the south _
twenty feet of lot numbered Fifty-eight on Fifth street, in the city of
Salina, Kansas.
Sec. 2. That W. R. Reynolds, the owner thereof, is hereby allowed
the sum of $160.00, which shall be in full payment of all damage by him
sustained by reason of the taking of all said south twenty feet of said
lot, _nuznbered 5,7 on Fifth street for such alley, and he is allowed- the
further, sum of $75.00 for removing the buildings now loci ated on such (�
strip of ground just described; and that the Lee Hardware Company, the
owner there,of,xx shall be allowed the sum of $200.00, which shall be in
full payment of all damage by it sustained by reason of the taking for
such alley of the said south twenty feet of said lot numbered, 58 on
Santa Fe avenue.
Sec. 3. That said suras of $160.00 and $200.00 shall be paid to the,
respective
parties,.entitled
thereto upon
demand
of said
parties, or their
authorized
agent or agents,
from the cite
clerk,
who is
hereby authorized
to .issue. warrants on the. city- treasurer --therefor', to be -s-igned-' b -y the
mayor and treasurer, �.nd such sums are hereby appropriated for -such pur-
poses; and said sure of $75.00 shall be paid to said W. R. Re-vnolds, or
his authorized agent, and upon satisfactory showing that such buildings
have been removed,as herein provided,from said south 20 feet of said lot
numbered 58 Santa Fe --avenue.
Sec. 4. This -ordinance shall take effect and he in force from and
aft'er its publication once in the Salina Fveneing Journal.
