00-10017 Annex NE4 29T14SR2W(Published in The Salina Journal December 2000) M ORDINANCE NUMBER 00-10017 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TRACTS OF LAND, IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE, AND AMENDING ORDDINANCE NUMBER 00-10002. BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the following described tract of land, to -wit: A tract of land located in the Northeast Quarter of Section 29, Township 14 South, Range 2 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the northeast corner of said Section 29; Thence S 89°55'45" W a distance of 30.00 feet to a point on the west right-of- way of Holmes Road and the Point of Beginning; Thence S 00°Ol'1 5" W along said west R/W, a distance of 2644.09 feet to a point on the south line of the NE 1/4 of said Sec. 29 and 30 feet west of the SE corner of said NE 1/4; Thence N 89°55'35" W along the south line of said NE 1/4, a distance of 2505.64 feet to the easterly right-of-way of Markley Road; Thence north along said R/W on a non -tangent curve to the right having a radius of 1856.86 feet, an arc distance of 706.37 feet, said curve having a long chord of 702.12 feet and a bearing of N 23°08'00" E; Thence continuing along said R/W on a curve to the left having a radius of 1956.86 feet, an arc distance of 549.98 feet, said curve having a long chord of 548.17 feet and a bearing of N 25°58'45" E; Thence N 89°55'45" E a distance of 804.51 feet; Thence N 00°20'46" E a distance of 1500.00 feet to a point on the north line of the NE 1/4 of said Sec. 29; Thence N 89°55'45" E along said north line, a distance of 1177.06 feet back to the Point of Beginning. The above described tract of land contains 99.99 acres, more or less. meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas. Section 2. That the following described tract of land, to -wit: A tract of land located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 29, Township 14 South, Range 2 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the southwest corner of the SE 1/4 of said Sec. 29; Thence N 89°56'05" E along the south line of said SE 1/4, a distance of 50.00 feet; Thence N 00°01'00" E a distance of 50.00 feet to the Point of Beginning, said point being the intersection of the north right-of-way of Magnolia Road and the east right-of-way of Markley Road; Thence N 00°01'00" E along the east R/W of Markley Road, a distance of 2206.19 feet; Thence continuing along said east R/W on a curve to the right having a radius of 1856.86 feet, an arc distance of 397.22 feet, said curve having a long chord of 396.46 feet and a bearing of N 06°08'42" E to a point on the north line of the SE 1/4 of said Sec. 29; Thence S 89°55'35" E along said north line, a distance of 1221.63 feet to the northeast corner of the W %i of the SE 1/4 of said Sec. 29; ConaaYEabdSaha Thence S 00°01'05" W along the east line of the W %2 of said SE 1/4, a distance of 1340.33 feet; Thence N 89°55'52" E a distance of 715.37 feet; Thence S 00°03'55" E a distance of 1257.08 feet to a point on the north R/W line of Magnolia Road; Thence S 89°56'05" W along said north R/W line, a distance of 1981.08 feet back to the Point of Beginning. The above described tract of land contains 95.95 acres, more or less. meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas. Section 3. That the following described tract of land, to -wit: A tract of land located in the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section Twenty-nine (29), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, in Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Northeast Quarter (NE '/4); Thence N 00°01'00" E along the west line of said NE 1/4, a distance of 45.74 feet; Thence on a non -tangent curve to the right having a radius of 1956.86 feet, an arc distance of 719.14 feet, said curve having a long chord of 715.10 feet and a bearing of N 23°30'12" E; Thence on a curve to the left having a radius of 1856.86 feet, an arc distance of 489.30 feet, said curve having a long chord of 487.89 feet and a bearing of N 26°28'59" E; Thence N 89°55'45" E a distance of 105.43 feet; Thence on a non -tangent curve to right having a radius of 1956.86 feet, an arc distance of 549.98 feet, said curve having a long chord of 548.17 feet and a bearing of S 25°58'45" W; Thence on a curve to the left having a radius of 1856.86 feet, an arc distance of 706.37 feet, said curve having a long chord of 702.12 feet and a bearing of S 23°08'00" W, to a point on the south line of the NE'/4 of said Section 29; Thence N 89°55'35" W a distance of 92.23 feet back to the Point of Beginning. The above described tract of land contains 2.88 acres, more or less. meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas. Section 4. That the tract of land described in Sections 1 and 2 above shall be zoned A-1 (AGRICULTURAL) with exception of the 34 acre site in the SE'/4 of Section 29 identified as a future church site which shall be zoned RS (RESIDENTIAL SUBURBAN) DISTRICT. Section 5. That Ordinance Number 00-10002 is hereby amended. Section 6. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
