00-10002 Annex NE/4 29-T14S-R2W(Published in The Salina Journal November 10, 2000) ORDINANCE NUMBER 00-10002 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TRACTS OF LAND, IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE. BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the following described tract of land, to -wit: A tract of land situated in the Northeast Quarter of Section 29, Township 14 South, Range 2 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, in Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast Corner of said Section 29: Thence South along the east line of the said Northeast Quarter of an assumed bearing of S 00°O1' 15" W, a distance of 2644.17 feet to the Southeast Corner of the said Northeast Quarter; Thence N 89155'35" W along the south line of the said Northeast Quarter, a distance of 2535.64 feet; Thence on a curve to the right a distance of 706.37 feet: said curve having a radius of 1856.86 feet and a long chord of 702.12 feet that bears N 23°08'00"E; Thence on a curve to the left a distance of 549.98 feet; said curve having a radius of 1956.86 feet and a long chord of 548.17 feet that bears N 25°58'45" E; Thence N 89°55'45" E a distance of , 804.51 feet; Thence N 00°20'45" E, a distance of 1500.00feet to a point on the North line of the Northeast Quarter; Thence N 89°55'45" E along the said North line of the NE 1/4a distance of 1207.06 feet back to the point of beginning. The above described tract of land contains approximately One Hundred One (101) acres more or less. meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas. Section 2. That the following described tract of land, to -wit: The West Half (W 1/2) of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section Twenty-nine (29), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West of the 6' P.M., Saline County, Kansas, together with that portion of the East Half (E %2) of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section Twenty-nine (29), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West included in the following described tract: Commencing at the Southwest corner of said Quarter Section (5/8" rebar-Record monument); thence Easterly on an assumed bearing of North 89°26'52" East along the South line of said Quarter Section, a distance of 898.00 feet to the point of beginning; 1. Thence North 00°33'08" West and perpendicular to said South line, a distance of 1307.01 feet to a 5/8" iron rebar with Aluminum Cap (RLS 902), said point being on the Southerly line of a Permanent Utility Easement as described in Misc. Book 153, at page 633-635 and Misc. Book 153. At pages 639- 641 of the Records of Saline County Register of Deeds; 2. Thence North 89°26'39" East, along said Southerly Utility Easement Line, a distance of 1133.15 feet to a 5/8" rebar with Aluminum Cap (RLS 902); 3. Thence South 00°33'08" East, a distance of 1307.08 feet to a point on the South line of said Quarter Section; 4. Thence South 89°26'52" West along said South line a distance of 1133.15 feet to the point of beginning. The above described tract of land contains approximately Ninety - Seven (97) acres more or less. meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas. Section 3. That the tract of land described in Sections 1 and 2 above shall be zoned A-1 (AGRICULTURAL) with exception of the 34 acre site identified as a future church site which shall be zoned RS (RESIDENTIAL SUBURBAN) DISTRICT. Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
