ORDINANCE NUMBER 01-10041
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8 OF THE SALINA CODE BY
ADDING AN EXCEPTION TO SECTION 8-516, PERTAINING TO BONDS REQUIRED
UNDER ARTICLE XVII CONTRACTORS/TRADESMAN REGISTRATION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Chapter 8 of the Salina Code is hereby amended by adding an
Exception to Section 8-516 under Article XVII regarding registration of
contractors/tradesmen to read as follows:
"Exception: Surety bond requirement waived under the following
conditions; when work performed is not regulated by the Uniform Building
Code and/or the work performed does not require a permit and/or when the
owner of the property is performing the work."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
