A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE SIGN STRUCTURE LOCATED AT
811 EAST IRON AVENUE AS A HISTORIC SIGN IN THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS.
wit:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the structure located on the following described real estate to
Lot 1, Block 1 of the Oakdale School Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County,
Kansas.
Section 2. That the types of significant exterior architectural features of the
nominated property that should be protected are:
a) The limestone and brick bay and door surround, stone arch and carved
limestone frieze panel containing the "OAKDALE" school name.
Section 3. That the types of construction, alteration, demolition and removal
activities, other than those requiring a building or demolition permit, that cannot be undertaken
without obtaining a certificate of appropriateness include:
a) Demolition or removal, in whole or in part, of the limestone and brick bay
and door surround, stone arch and carved limestone frieze panel containing the "OAKDALE"
school name.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this 20th day of
August, 2001.
