AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract withn for the construction of a certain storm sewer in the City of Salina, Kansas, heretofore designated as Claflin Avenue Storm Sewer, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof, pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE.IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas. Section 1. That the acceptance of the City of Salina, Kansas, of the proposal L. W. xroad and Son of hereinafter referred to as the "contractor", i as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on October 4, 1954, which is hereby found I to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said city to said contractor and signed on behalf of the City by its Mayor on October 11, 1954, for the construction of certain public improvements n i in the City of Salina, Kansas, to-wit: A 24 inch storm sewer beginning at an existing manhole which is in easement on the east line of Block 7, Likin d Foster Addition and 12 feet north of south line of said j block; thence east along a line 12 feet north of the south line of said Block 7 extended 500 feet to a manhole to be constructed; thence east bearing slightly south 430 feet with a 24 inch storm sewer to a manhole to be con- structed which will be 15 feet north of the south line of Jewell Avenue and 5 feet east of the east right-of-way of the Missouri Pacific Railway; thence east along a line 15 feet north of the south line of Jewell 890 feet with a 24 inch storm sewer to a manhole to be constructed; thence south with a 24 inch storm sewer along a line 15 feet west of the east line of Rush Street 690 feet to a manhole tobe constructed; thence east with a 24 inch storm sewer 20 feet north of the south line of Claflin Avenue 301 feet to a man- hole to be constructed; thence east along the same line with an 18 inch storm sewer 1315 feet to a manhole to be con- structed which is 5 feet east of the west line of Ninth Street and 20 feet north of the south line of Claflin Avenue which will be the terminus of said sewer. at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal I and contract are herebyreferred to and made a part of this ordinance, be and the a same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimate cost of i said improvements as shown by the sworn estimate of the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk, which estimate is hereby referred to and made a part of this I j ordinance. p, Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with j the plans and specifications therfore prepared by the City Engineer on file in the P office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and u under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part I of this ordinance. Section 3.
