6022 Annexation-1 J ORDINANCE NUMBER 6022 (First Published in the Salina Journal v,Lb..P� , r— 1955) AN ORDINANCE providing for the inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas, prescribing the corporate limits of said City, and repealing Section 6 of Ordinance No. 5980. WHEREAS, all conditions precedent to the inclusion of certain land in the City of Salina, Kansas, ha:rc come to pass; BE IT NOW, THEREFORE, ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That certain tract of land adjoining the corporate limits of the City of Salina, which land has been platted into lots and blocks, and is part of a tract known as CLOUD ADDITION now in Saline County, and is legally described as follows; Beginning at a point on the west .line of Section 23, Township 14, South, Range 3, West of the 6th ;principal W-ridian, which point is 1322.1 ft north of the sou-thwest conger of said section, thence 4i"t 13 .1.5 ft alwag thq- bouth llue of Lifcone 'rostar .Addi- tion to Ue City of S&Una, Kansas, thence south 8'10 'ft., thence west and.parallel.to the south ]Ake of Ukens Foster Addition to a point on the 'vest lisleof said section which is 810 ft sohth of the point of beginning them mirth E310 ft to the point of beginning. Containing 24.25 acres more or less. Section 2. That the corporate limits of the City of Salina be and the same are hereby extended to include the territory added to, taken into, and made part of said City under the provisions of the preceding section of this Ordinance and that all of the land lying within the following described boundaries be and the same is hereby declared to be with- in the corporate limits, hereby defined as; Commencing at a point on the center line of Ninth Street extended south, 770 feet south of the intersection of the center line of Ninth Street, with the center line of Cloud Avenue, said intersection being the corner common to Section 23, 24, 25, 26, Township 14 South, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, thence west to a point on the northeast right of way line of U. S. 81 Highway By -Pass which point is 750 feet due south of the north line of said Section 25, thence north westerly along the R northeast right of way line of U. S. 81 By -Pass to the intersection of said right of way line with the west boundary of Rush Street extended; thence north to the northwest corner of Park View Addition to said City; thence west along the south line of Highland Court Addition to the southwest corner of said addition; thence north to the center line of Jewell Avenue; thence west 1,388.5 feet to a point on the south boundary of Liken -Foster Addition to said City, thence south a distance of 810 feet along the eastern boundary of Cloud Addition, thence west and parallel with the south section line of Section 23, Township 14 South, Range 3 West of the Sixth principal meridian to the west right of way line of Cherokee Drive, thence northerly along the said right of way line to the west line of said Section 23, thence north to the northwest corner of the southwest quarter of Section 23, Township 14 south, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian, thence north to the northwest corner of the southwest quarter of Section 23, Township 14 South, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian; thence west 993.3 feet, thence north 2640 feet to a point on the north line of Section 22, township 14 South, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian, thence east 993.3 feet to the northwest corner of Section 23, Township 14, South, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian, thence g north 1242.44 feet; thence east 1417 feet to a point 165 feet west of the west right-of-way of U.S. 81 By -Pass; thence north parallel to the west right-of-way a line of U.S. 81 By -Pass to a point on the center line of Walnut Street 165 feet west of the west right--of-way line of U. That Section 6. of Ordinance No. 5980 be and it is hereby repealed. B Section 4.
