This land faces on Ohio Street which is a four-lane boulevard. This application for re- zoning is in conjunction with the plan submitted by the Smoky Hill Addition to Salina, Kansas. This request for re- zoning is to be a compatible project with the proposed Smoky Hill Addition. There will be an increase of traffic on Ohio Street, however, of no great consequence. The city plan states that Ohio Street has a capacity to carry 16,500 vehicles per day. The land to be south of subject property is in the "D" Zone, which consists of a 'retail liquor store, 1aundermat, office building and service station. To the east of this perperty and to the south, it is "D" for Peterson Pontiac Co., doctors' clinic and filling station. I foresee no objection as to our zoning application from any adjacent land owners.
