6150 Utility Improvementsn 1 CONSOLIDATED -SALIN 4 j ORDINANCE NUMBER (Published in The Salina Journal ;:) v(V, I , 1957) AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract with 0. D. Wilmoth doing business as Wilmothi Construction Company for the construction of an Intercepting Sewer and Pumping station and Lateral Sanitary Sewers in the City of Salina, Kansas, heretofore designated as Intercepting Sewer Country Chub'District and Lateral Sanitary Sewers Districts 361 and 362 and pumping station, and providing for the issuance of Temporary Notes to pay the cost thereof, pending issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance of the City of Salina, Kansas, of the proposal of the Wilmoth Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commisioners on May 28, 1957, which is hereby found to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and, the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said City to said contractorland signed on behalf of the City by its Mayor on June 4, 1957, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, Kansas, to -wit: Beginning at an existing manhole in the south parking of Country Club Road and 485.0 feet east of the center line of Marymount Road, thence west 10 feet where a wet well and pumping station will be constructed; thence north across Country Club Road 30 feet with an 8 inch cast iron force main; thence west 440 feet; thence southwesterly 70 feet to a point in the west parking of Marymount Road; thence south in west parking of Marymount Road 410 feet; thence in a southwesterly direction 70 feet to a point in the south parking of Iron Avenue where a manhole will be constructed; thence with an 8 inch clay pipe gravity sewer line in the south parking of said Iron Avenue 950 feet where a manhole will be built; thence north 15 feet to an existing manhole where sewer will be connected which will be terminus of Intercepting sewer. An eight inch clay pipe sewer beginning at an existing manhole in Iron Avenue and on center line extended of first alley east of Second Street and north of Icon Avenue, thence north along center line of said alley 447 feet where a manhole will be built which will be terminus of Lateral 361. An eight inch clay pipe sewer beginning at a manhole in the Missouri Pacific right-of-way at the northeast corner of Lot 1 Blokk 1, Talley Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas, thence south along right-of-way at east side of said Block 1 to the southeast corner of Lot 3 of said Block; thence northwesterly along right- lof-way between Lots 3 and 4 of said Block across Dover Drive and continued to the southwest corner of Lot 1 of Block 2 of said Addition, thence west along right-of-way in said Block 2 across BEach Street and continued into Block 3 to the east line of Lot 10 of 'Block 3 wheae a manhole will be built which will be terminus of Lateral 362. at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as i shown by the sworn estimate of the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk which. estimate is hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. CONSOLIDATED -j ALIN A 1 1 Section 2. paid Improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore prepared by the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk and in 'accordance with the proposals of said contractor and under the terms of j said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. i Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attest by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the contract price of $29,664.25 for such work such i notes to bear interest at not to exceed 5 per cent per annum and to mattre not later than December 1, 1958, and to be issued to such amounts and at such times as may the money for the. payment of the cost of such work be required, such notes to be issued to said contractor and j to be redeemed andicancelled at the time that Internal Improvement Bonds are issued in lieu thereof. Section 4. Tlat this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its publication once in the official city paper.
