IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas; Section I& For the purpose of paying for that part of the cost of improvements in in portions of certain streets as hereinafter set forth in the following sections of this which is chargeable to the private property in the assessment districts for each of uch improvements, respectively, as set forth in the following sections of this ordinance ith respect to each of such improvements, there are hereby levied and assessed on the property iable therefore, being all the lots and pieces of ground lying on either side of said street o improved, respectively, to the middle of the block for the distance improved with respect to improvements mentioned in Sections 2, 31, 4, 51, 6, 7, 89 9, 10, 11, 121, 139 141, 15, 169 179, 8, 19, 209 219 22, 239 24, 259 26 of this ordinance, according to the appraised valueof such and pieces of ground with respect to each such improvements, without regard to the CON SOLIDA'S EO -JAS.:NA 1 i buildings or improvements thereon, special assessments covering the cost of such work and improvements, said special assessments being based on the special valuation and appraisement of said lots and pieces of ground heretofore made by three disinterested appraisers appointed j by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, with respect to each such improvement, which said appraisements are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinanc4, and the several amounts so levied, apportioned and assessed against the lots and pieces of ground for each such improvement, respectively, for the purpose aforesaid, are hereby found and determined to be the amounts set forth in the following sections of this ordinance with respect to each ofsaidimprovements. There is hereby levied further and assessed against such lots and pieces of'. ground described in 'this ordinance, interest at such rate per annum as shall be borne by the bonds hereafter to be issued for the payment of the remaining unpaid cost of such improvements to be hereafter determined and fixed by ordinance when such bonds are issued, on all of said installments mentioned and provided for in this ordinance, from the date of the bonds which may be issued at the end of thirty days as specified in the preceding sections hereof, as by law provided, to the time of the collection of the installment as provided by law, which said interest shall be collected annually at the same time and in the same manner as said installments are collected and after the taking effect of this ordinance and the fixing of the said interest rate when such bonds are authorized and issued, it shall be the duty of the City Clerk of taidl City to annually at the same time other taxes are certified and until all of said assessments so apportioned and levied have been certified to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, a full list of all property liable to assessment and taxation for such work and improvement, except such property on which the special assessments aforesaid have been paid in full as hereinbefore provided, together with the respective amounts doe on each of said lots and pieces of ground which amounts shall include the annual installments of such special assessmen s I together with the interest for one year at the rate to be fixed as provided for in thie ordina ce, CONSOLIDATED -SALIVA i i on all unpaid balances of such assessments, and such amounts ao certified as herein provided shall be placed upon the tax roll by the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, and collected i as other taxes are collected.
