F.D-SALSNA i III ORDINANCE NUMBER 6142 (First Published in The Salina Journal /%��- ( , , 1957) AN ORDINANCE providing for the inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas, prescribing the corporate limits of said City, and repealing Section � I 2 of Ordinance Number 6130. WHEREAS, all conditions precedent to the inclusion of certain land in the City of Salina, Kansas, have come to pass, AND NOW, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: �I Section 1. That a certain unplatted tract of land in the North One-half (N2) of the I Northwest Quarter (NW-) of the Southwest Quarter (SW -417) of Section Eighteen (18), Township i I I Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, Saline County, Kansas, so situated that two-thirds (2/3) of a line or boundary thereof lies upon or touches the boundary line of the existing corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas described i I as follows: I Beginning at the intersection of the Center line of Greeley Avenue, City of Salina, Kansas, and the north - south one -sixteenth line of the Southwest Quarter of Section 18, Township 14 South, Range 2 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian; thence west 1070 feet on the center line of said avenue; thence south 795 feet; thence wast on a line to the intersection of the north -south one - sixteenth line of Section 18, Township 14 South, Range 2 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian; thence north on said one - sixteenth line to the point of beginning. be and the same is hereby incorporated within the limits of the City of Salina, Kansas. Section 2. That a certain tract of land, partly platted into lots and blocks, and known as Ingermanson Heights Addition, and an unplatted tract of land in the Northwest Quarter (NWjl) of Section Twenty-six (26), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Merddiaa, lying east of the Missouri Pacific Railroad, so j situ$ted that two-thirds (2/3) of a line or boundary lies upon or touches the boundary line i of the existing corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Cloud Street, City of Salina, Kansas, and the west right-of-way line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad, thence in a south- westerly direction along said railroad right-of-way to the intersection of said railroad right-of-way and a line which is 480 feet perpendicular to the center line of Cloud Street, City of Salina, Kansas, thence east to the east right-of-way line of said railroad; thence in a southwesterly direction along said east right-of-way to a point which is 200 feet perpendicular to the center line of Talley Drive, City of Salina, Kansas; thence east on a line parallel and 200 feet south of said Drive center line to the east quarter line of the I northwest quarter Section 26, Township 14 South, Range 3 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian; thence north on said Quarter line 1030 feet; thence west and parallel to the north line of said Section 419.63 feet; thence northwesterly on a line which makes a perpendicular to the east right-of-way of the Missouri Pacific Railroad 565.80 feet; thence northeasterly along said east right-of-way line to the intersection of said east right-of-way line and the north section line of Section 26, Township 14 South, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian, thence west on said Section line to the point of beginning. be and the same is hereby incorporated within the limits of the City of Salina, Kansas. That a certain unplatted tract of land in the Southeast Quarter (SE -4L) of the Southwest Quarter (SW4) of Section Twenty-three (23), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, lying west of the east Missouri Pacific Railroad right-of-way, not exceeding twenty -acres (29) , so situated that two-thirds (2/3) of a line or boundary lies upon or touches the boundary line of the existing corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the south section line of Section 23, Township 14 south, Range 3 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, and the east right-of-way line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad; thence west along said section line to the east boundary of Cloud Addition thence north on said boundary line 612 feet; thence east on a line parallel to said section line to the east right-of-way line of said railroad; thence in a southwesterly direction along said east right-of-way to the point of beginning. be and the same is hereby incorporated within the limits of the City of Salina, Kansas. That a certain tract of land partly platted into lots and blocks known as Plat Fifty-one (51) and an unplatted tract of land lying in the east one-half (ED of Section Fourteen (14)) Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, west of U. S. Highway 81, east of Dry Creek and south of White Avenue, City of Salina, Kansas, not exceeding twenty -Acres (20),so situated that two-thirds (2/3) of a line or boundary lies upon or touches the boundary line of the existing corporate limitsl, of the City of Salina, Kansas, described as follows: Beginning at a point 165 feet west of the west right-of-way line of U. S. 81 Bypass and 1047 feet north of the north line of Beverly Drive, City of Salina, Kansas, thence west 749.75 feet on a line parallel to the north quarter line of the southwest quarter Section 14, Township 14 South, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian; thence north to the center line of the channel of Dry Creek; thence in a northeasterly direction along the center line of said creek channel to the center line of Walnut Street, City of Salina, Kansas, thence east along said center line approximately 75 feet to a point which is 165 feet west of the west right-of-way line of U. That the corporate limits of the City of Salina be and the same are hereby extended to include the territory added to, Laked into, and made part of said City under the provisions of the preceding sections of this Ordinance and that all of the land lying within the following described boundaries be and the same is hereby declardd to be within the Corporate limits, hereby defined as: Commencing at a point on the center line of Ninth Street extended South, 200.0 feet south of the east and west quarter line of Section Twenty - Six (26), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas; thence west to a point 200.0 feet west of the west line of U.
