ORDINANCE NUMBER 6130

AN ORDINANCE providing for the inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits of the I
City of Salina, Kansas, prescribing the corporate limits of said City, and repealing Section'
2 of Ordinance Number 6022.
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent to the inclusion of certain land in the City of Salina,
Kansas, have come to pass, AND NOW,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas;
Section 1. That a certain unplatted tract of land in the East one half (E2) of the
Southwest quarter (SW -j% Section Eighteen (18), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2)
West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, Saline County, Kansas, so situated that two-thirds
(2/3) of a line or boundary thereof lies upon or touches the boundary line of the existing
corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas, described as follows;
Beginning at the southeast corner of the southwest quarter of
Section eighteen (18) T14, R2W of the Eatt Principal Meridian;
thence west along the extension of the north line of Crawford
Avenue, City of Salina, Kansas, to the intersection of said north
line and the north -south one -sixteenth line of the southwest
quarter of Section thirteen (13), T14, R2W of the Sixth
Principal Meridian; thence north on said line to the intersection
of the north quarter line of said quarter sedtion of said section;
thence east on the said one-quarter line to the west boundary
line of Upper Mill Heights; thence south along said boundary line
to the point of beginning.

Section 2. That a certain tract of land, partly platted into lots and blocks, and
known as Talley Addition, and an unplatted tract of land in the North one half (N2) of the
North one half (N2) of the Northwest Quarter (NWS) of Section Twenty-six (26), Township
Fourteen (14) South', Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian and an unplatted
tract of land in the Southwest Quarter (SWC) of the Southwest Quarter (SW ) of Section
Twenty-three (23) Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal
Meridian,lying west of the west line of Cherokee Drive City of Salina, Kansas, not
exceeding twenty -acres (20) so situated that two-thirds (2/3) of a line or boundary lies
upon or touches the boundary line of the existing corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kandas,
described as follows;
Beginning at the point of intersection of the west right-of-way
line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad to the center line of Claud
Street, City of Salina, Kansas; thence 870 feet in a southeasterly direction
following the west right-of-way line of said railroad; thence on a line
west 1451 feet parallel to the center line of Cloud Street; thence north
on the west line of Section Twenty-three (23), T14, R3W, of the Sixth
Principal Meridian to the point of intersection of said line and the
west line of Cherokee Drive, City of Salina, Kansas; thence on a line
in a'',southeasterly direction to the point of intersection of said line
and a line 200 feet perpendicular to Cloud Street; thence east on a
line to the north -south one -sixteenth line of the northwest quarter of
Section twenty-six (26), T14, R3W, of the Sixth Principal Meridian; thence
North 200 feet on a line to the point of intersection of said line and
the center line of Cloud Street; thence east on the center line of Cloud
Street to the point of beginning.

of the Southwest Quarter (SWC), Section Twenty-three (23), Township Fourteen (14) South,
Range Three (3) iciest of the Sixth Principal Meridian, Saline County, Kansas, not exceeding
Twenty acres (20) so situated that two-thirds (23,1 of a line or boundary thereof lies
upon or touches the boundary line of the existing corporate limits of the City of Salina,
Kansas, described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the east right-of-way
line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad and the extended center line
of Jewell Avenue, City of Salina, Kansas; thence 750 feet along
the east right-of-way line of said railroad in a southwesterly
direction; thence west 1090 feet on a line parallel to the eakt-west
one -sixteenth line of the Southwest Quarter of Section Twenty-three
(23), T14, R3W, thence north 710 feet along the east boundary line of
Cloud Addition to the intersection of said one -sixteenth line of said
Section; thence east along said one -sixteenth line 1350 feet to the

Section 4. That a certain unplatted tract of land in the North one half (NZ)
of the South one Half (SZ) of the Northeast Quarter (NES) Section Twenty-six (26), Township
Fourteen (14) South, Range three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, Saline County,

Kansas, not exceeding Twenty acres (20) so situated that two-thirds/of a line or
boundary thereof lies upon or touches the boundary line of the existing corporate limits of
the City of Salina, Kansas, described as follows;
Beginning at (a point of intersection 200 feet south of the east -west
one -sixteenth line of the Northeast Quarter of Section Twenty-six (26),
T14, R3W, and a line that is 200 feet perpendicular to the west right-
of-way line of U. S. 81 By-pass; thence west 1531.36 feet) Thence north
200 feet on a quarter line of said section; thence 1331.36 feet east on
the east -west one -sixteenth line of said section to the intersection of
said line and the west right-of-way of U. S. 81 By-pass; thence in a
southeasterly direction to the point of beginning.

Section 5. That the corporate limits of the City of Salina be and the same are hereby
extended to include the territory added to, taken into, and made part of said City under the
provisions of the preceding sections of this Ordinance and that all of the land lying within
the following described boundaries be and the same is hereby declared to be within the
corporate limits, hereby defined as:
Commencing at a point on the center line of Ninth Street extended
south, 200.0 feet south of the east and west quarter section line of
Section Twenty-six (26), Township Fourteen (14), South, Range Three (3)
