6121 Emnt Domain-Airport ExpandCONSOLIDATLD-SALINA u �I ORDINANCE NUMBER 6121 (Published in The Salina Journal f' �- : r'z ,, _S , 1957 ) AN ORDINANCE providing for the condemnation of certain lands and easements within Saline County, Kansas, for the public use in extending and enlarging the present municipal airport of Salina, Kansas. WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Salina, Kansas, at its regular meeting on the 16th day of October, 1956, by Resolution Number 1761, found it necessary to appropriate and condemn certain lands and easements in certain private property in Saline County, Kansas, for the use of said city for the extension and enlargement of the present municipal airport of Salina, Kansas, and directed the City Engineer of Salina, Kansas, to file a survey, description and plat of the property and easements so required; and WHEREAS, on the , " day of October, 1956, a survey, description and plat of the land and easements so required was duly filed with the City Clerk of Salina, Kansas, SO, NOW THEREFORE' BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas. Section 1. The following described real estate and easements are hereby condemned and appropriated for the use of the City of Salina, Kansas, for the extension and enlargement of the present municipal airport of Salina, Kansas, to -wit: A fee simple title to Parcel 5 described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at a point on the line common to Sections 20 and 29 of Township 14 South, Range Two West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, Saline County, Kansas, to which has been assigned a bearing of due Ease, 421 feet easterly from the 1/4 -corner common to Sections 20 and 29; thence S O025' W, 1,500 feet; thence East Parallel to the Section Line 1,000 feet; thence N 0025' E, 1,500 feet to a point on the said Section line; thence West, 1,000 feet along the line common to Sections 20 and 29, 1,000 feet to the place of beginning. Containing 35 acres more of less. A Clear Zone Easement in Parcel 6 described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at a point on a line common to Sections 20 and 29, Township 14 South Range 2 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, Saline County, Kansas, to thich has been assigned a bearing of due East, 421 feet easterly fr8m the 1/4 -corner common to Sections 20 and 29; thence S 0 25' W, 1,500 feet to the point of beginning. Beginning at this point thence S O025' W 2,100 feet, thence East parallel to the Section Line 1,000 feet; thence N O025' E 2,100 feet, thence West 1,000 feet to the point of Beginning. Containing 49 acres more of less. A Clear Zone Easement in Parcel 7 described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at a point on the line common to Sections 17 and 20 of Township 14 South, Range 2 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, Saline County, Kansas, to which has been assigned a bearing of due East 354.4 feet from the 1/4 -corner common to Sections 17 and 20; thence east along said Section Line 1,000 feet thence N O009' E 2,513 feet, thence west 1,000 feet, thence S 0 09' W to the point of beginning. Containing 58 acres more of less. Section 2. That Rudolph Barta, City Attorney, is hereby ordered to forthwith prepare and present in the name of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, a written. application to the Judge of the District Court of Saline County, Kansas, praying for an order appointing commissioners to make appraisement and assessment of damages arising from the taking and condemnation of said lands and easements in the real estate described in Section 1 hereof, and do and perform all things in and about procuring and recording of said order of appointment as required by law. ji Section 3.
