AN ORDINANCE regulating garbage and household trash receptacles in the City of Salina, Kansas,',
providing a penalty for the violation thereof and amending Ordinance Number 6174 of said City.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas;
Section 1. 20-104.
AMENDMENT. PROVIDE METAL RECEPTACLE: REMOVAL OF
CONTENTSjo

CLOSED. It shall be the
duty of every owner or occupant of any residence,
business
house,
mercantile or other business establishment within the City of Salina, Kansas, to provide a
metal receptacle with handles, not to exceed thirty-two gallons in size in which to place or
deposit all garbage and household trash. All such receptacles shall be provided with tight,
fly -proof metal covers and shall be kept closed except at such times as matter is being placed
therein or removed therefrom, provided, however, that the provisions for size of receptacle
and handles thereon shall apply only to City of Salina, Kansas, garbage collections. All such'
receptacles shall be located to be easity accessible to trash and garbage collectors and haulers.

Section 2. That Ordinance Number 6174 of the City of Salina, Kansas is hereby repealed. j
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect upon its adoption and
publication in the official city paper.
